Caps usually go up two games in a series before choking. So at least they avoided that this year.

I’m not much of a hockey fan but living in the DC area for the last 30 years I have to say that the Caps playoff failures are reaching a special level of suck. They never “overachieve” but somehow manage to always “underachieve.”

Fud. I've been watching the Caps lose since the 80's. I was even there in Landover for game 7 against the Pens, 3 or 4 overtimes I think it was. Peter Nedved scored with a nice wrist shot and we got heckled on the way out by Pens fans. It's like groundhog day.
They were the better team in this series, even in the games we won, so no surprise. At least I'm older now and will be over it by tomorrow, back then it took me a week. Congrats to the Pens, good luck against the Blues or Sharks. TB should take you 4-5 games max.
