GREAT FALLS, VA: A Reston man was found passed out in the basement of a Great Falls home, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD).

Police say a homeowner was checking the security cameras for his home located in the 700 block of Seneca Road and saw an unknown male trying to enter it on March 21 at 5:19 am.

Officers arrived and found 25-year-old Christopher Jones, of Reston, passed out in the basement.

A vehicle registered to Jones was found not far from the home. The vehicle had struck a mailbox and then become stuck in a ditch.

Jones was charged with unlawful entry and hit and run, according to the FCPD.

Hit and run? That seems a little excessive. For one, he camped out. Two, he was drunk. I would argue a person who passes out cannot consciously “hit and run”.

He took out a mailbox and got stuck in a ditch at 5am? Any fucking with mailboxes is FEDERAL offense.

The hit and run is still a lighter charge then a DUI which it does not look like he got charged with

How could they charge him? Can they prove he driving drunk? Maybe consumed alcohol after hitting the mailbox.

A lot of details left out of the original post. I drove by the car still in the ditch on my way to work. It was a long ways from where the break in was,

I don't know if it is the same Chris Jones or not, but I knew a Chris Jones once who lived in Great Falls, went to Flint Hill school, and was a real dumbass who liked to drive reckless.
