Fairfax County Swat in action right now

Shooting just off of Rt. 7 and I-66 taking place at 8:00pm. Swat team and snipers in place at 7515 Lisle Ave., Falls Church, which is a secondary address where the Shooter is hold up with a Female and child in the house. Shooting did not happen at this address.

I was driving down Magarity Road earlier and saw the cops flying up toward 7. A few minutes later I was driving up Lisle, and a FCPD cruiser was parked across both lanes at Cherri Drive blocking access toward 7. The helicopter has been circling all evening. I figured maybe there was an accident, but I guess not. Yikes.

Heli should have left a while ago...needed gas, and then they told him he wasn't needed. Suspect is a white male, 44 years old. Won't post his name here. Kid in house is 9 years old. Female refuses to leave the house for fear that swat will enter and hurt subject....she keeps calling dispatch.

Not resolved. Sounds like they "coned off" the entrance to Lisle from Rt.7, but not Rt. 7. Still no news about the "vitims". I heard earlier there were as many as 8...but cannot confirm.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. - After almost a full 24 hours, a tense standoff was came to an end Wednesday evening at a home in Falls Church, Virginia.
Fairfax County Police say the suspect in the standoff died of a single gunshot wound to the head. It was unclear immediately whether he shot himself or if he was shot by police.
A woman and child inside the home were released and both were safe.
This took way too long. Some type of judgment call should be made. If you are hours into it.. you should be able to to tell the prick isn't coming out peacefully.

I can't understand why FFX PD didn't ask you guys to take over....seems like you have all the answers, with of course the occasional donut quip. I mean what would a cop post here be without a donut quip? I can't believe that no one has asked if the guy was an unarmed dentist, at IHOP, or a schoolteacher. All of you guys with your dungeons and dragons training would have been key in this situation. Next time just jump the tape line and let them know that. Is it because Mommy wouldn't let you out of the house since your pizza rolls were ready?

I bet it was the defective equipment charge that made the police do him in. Although my neighbor told me that the swat negotiator and him were arguing over the phone for hours. Mr.valentini thought the 6th Harry Potter Movie was terrible, and the negotiator did not take kindly to that. So he sent the swat goons in to go Lord Voldermort on his ass. And they say video games are violent.geeze.
