Student Death at Centreville High School?
Posted by: otc ()
Date: March 01, 2016 06:06PM

I've heard rumors today that a female student of CVHS has died. I know know information, other than that her name was Alexia and she was either a Junior or a Senior. Does anybody know anything more? I want to support her friends/family if possible.

I heard the same thing but not sure how it happened, either way is sad. A young person shouldn't have to die so young. May she rest in peace.

I'm not sure how everything happened I just know this is really sad. Alexia was a beautiful beautiful girl and it's sad to see her gone so soon. Her story needs to be told so kids can learn from this. This is a very important lesson that all high schoolers need to learn. I don't know if she over dose at a party or what but if she was around people while taking drugs they're are accountable for her death. No matter how bad the situation is if you see someone taking too much you need to stop them. You see them struggling for their life you need to call 911 and get them help. Saving someone's life is more important than getting in trouble for doing drugs. Kids need to understand that drugs are very dangerous do to the fact that you DO NOT know if someone put something else in them. Parents also need to pay more attention in what their kids are freaking doing. Letting your 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 year old go to a party knowing that they'll be alcohol and drugs there you should not give them permission to go. Everyone is at fault here. There's nothing that can be done to bring her back other than to put her story out there so everyone learns from this. My heart breaks for her family and Xavier who I believe they were ex bf/gf or they were dating I'm not sure but I'm keeping them in my prayers. People please keep a watch in what your kids are doing and kids don't sit there and watch someone over dose.know that this can happen to everyone. Rest in paradise beautiful angel.

Alexia, passed away from an overdose. From taking oxy then got really drunk then took Xanax. She had a lot going on in her life and I just pray that she is in heaven with God. She was a beautiful person, so please pray for her family and friends.

There is no heaven, there is no God, and from news reports, there is no Alexia either.

The death of a teenager is hard to grasp for anyone. Her friends are grieving and so are adults. Her death will mark the Students at CVHS. It is such a sad situation. It's so hard to are sense of it all. So hard to realise someone is here one day and gone the next.

The fact remains...this was drug related. Kids- just say no to drugs. It doesn't help solve problems it only creates new ones. Kids need to stand by one another and realise that doing drugs is wrong. Under age drinking is wrong. You only get one body and one brain. Teenagers are still developing that frontal lobe....they aren't done growing and maturing.

Alexia Springer was a beautiful girl. She had issues but was a kind, sweet girl and she will be missed. I hope the outpouring of love, affection, and emotion from the student body will help her family know that Alexia made a mark in lives and will be missed.

It's such an unfortunate accident and it was avoidable if she just would have been strong enough to say no to drugs. Wake up call kids! Don't do drugs.

No need for all that. Maybe she was a hoe or not maybe she was a mudshark or not but no need to say it. Since you said Tyrone knocker her up. (did you mean knocked) and does that mean she was pregnant?

Teens need to understand what drugs actually do. They need to know that under age drinking is bad. Drugs and alcohol are bad period. Teens need to be responsible when they go out and learn how to say NO TO BAD THINGS. parents need to stop letting their kids go out every weekend knowing Wtf high schoolers do. I hate that a lot of people are saying oh she was going through a lot. Ok yes she was but so is everyone else. Stop making her going through so much an excuse for doing the drugs and causing her death. I don't know how shit happened. If she passed away at the party or at home or whatever. She had no true friends because no one stopped her from killing herself. Kids things drugs are so cool that's why they do it. Everyone on social media saying all this shit but yet no one was there for her. Her death was avoidable and no one stood up for her not even her parents. Now There's no one to blame but her for being dumb and taking all those drugs. This is a tragedy and so sad. A lot of people have been hurt by death and all for being irresponsible. I hope kids and parents learn from this. The sad thing is that they saw that a beautiful girl passed away and Kids will not stop doing drugs because they don't believe this shit can happen to them. Drugs kill it doesn't matter if you're beautiful, ugly, white, black, gay, straight, young, old. It DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU ARE. DRUGS CAN AND WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DONT STOP. RESPONSIBLIT IS KEY HERE. HELPING A HUMAN WHO YOU SEE TAKING SO MUCH DRUGS IS KEY HERE. XANAX are very dangerous specially if taken with liquor. I hope and pray that people learn the true effect that these drugs have. R. I. P. HOPE YOURE AT OEACE NOW.

But whoever she was with that night and whomever supplied her with access to the drugs and alcohol, you have this girl's blood on your hands and she'll haunt you for the rest of your life.

I'm a sophomore at centreville and I walked into school not knowing why everyone was crying and why there was a big prayer circle outside. Alexia over dosed from drugs and I didn't know her that well or her life story but on twitter there was this arguement between Alexia's friends and this guy and he made a pretty valid point. He said something along the lines of how her death is sudden and extremely heart breaking for her friends and family but no one told her to take hardcore drugs. She partied with friends and they let her take those horrible drugs and saw how messed up she was but went with it cause she does that kind of stuff every weekend. She took the drugs. If anyone is willing to take the risk of putting their life at danger for a temporay feeling of euophoria from drugs, you have no one to blame but yourself. I totally agree with what he said. Yes it is absolutely terrible that she died so young and with so much ahead of her. But this is a good opportunity for other people to learn how detrimental drugs and alcohol abuse can be. I feel no empathy for her, but I am extremely saddened that she passed so suddenly. I feel no empathy for any drug abuser/user because heroin overdose killed my cousin 2 years ago. It was short and sudden and till this day I have not gotten over it. Drugs are a terrible thing. They ruin peoples lives. We hear people say that all the time but it's no joke. It still hasnt fully processed with me whats happening. A student I know passed away from over dosing drugs. You think it'll never happen but when it does it's just absolutely shocking. It's just not worth it. No matter how hard your life is, drugs are never an answer. I hope her family and friends can get some peace at mind, may Alexia rest peacefully.

This young girl made a horrible mistake that has ended her life. Blaming others who were around her Monday is not helpful to the situation as they are all grieving and wishing that they had done more, making them feel more responsible than they are could create another tragedy. But whoever gave her the prescription drugs will end up being investigated and jailed. possibly for murder. Anyone who hides this information from the investigators will likely be charged as an accessory after the fact. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lexi's parents and her friends.

To those of you ignorant punks that are making horrible comments about Lexi. please brag about it to friends around school. With two of my children going to Centreville, I promise that if I find out who you are, I will personally make your life even more miserable than it obviously already is and you will no longer be welcome in the school or community. If I don't find you, I assure you that karma will have you open your mouth one day to the wrong person who will beat the hell out of you.

My son knew Lexi and told me she was a very nice girl and loved life. Knowing that her parents and friends will read comments on threads like this, stop making idiotic comments and let these people who care very much for her to grieve. Everyone in this community with a heart feels terrible for this tragic loss of life.

It's so sad to go to school everyday and not see her face! I really never talked to her but even though it,s too late and this is so cheesy...I really wish i just said hi and become her friend... she was very popular and always seemed to have friends but maybe I could of helped out in some way to keep her off the drugs that ultimately killed her.

No, grabbing 2% milk when you wanted whole milk is a mistake. Injecting life-destroying drugs into your body via a needle is a deliberate act.

As it should, but it would be no tragedy. They cannot be more responsible than they already are for her death, but in the end it was her decision to ingest the poisons into her body. Friends don't let friends do drugs.

Hey Dad,

Fox 5 reporting tonight is incorrect about this girl. Her friends and parents are grieving and do not need blame put upon them, many will likely be haunted with the "could have been" thinking for years. My hope is that none of you reading this has to witness the devastation and aftermath emotionally in dealing with something like this.

In the end, no matter what we do as parents and friends, an individual is responsible for their own actions, those that sell or give drugs to people and those that use them. This is absolutely a time for all around us to talk about the dangers of drugs to our kids, I had that talk with my kids for the 100th time early on Tuesday. Unfortunately young people don't see dangers where they exist and parent's aren't always aware of what our kids do outside our sight.

Obviously, this site is full of those who have a foul mind and/or careless heart. Some of these comments can cause real danger to her friends taking their own lives over guilt and others deserve a swift kick in the ass to the poster. As I am new to this site, I do not let these comments go unchallenged, those that don't may feel that is does no good to point out deplorable behavior but I am not one of them.

Meeting is great, but pointless other than to know who the careless among are. At some point you may see that some of your wrongly held assumptions and opinions can do harm to people already devastated and to the memory of one who is no longer with us. It's not right to hurt people needlessly or to disrespect the recently deceased. Others though who have made filthy and foul comments will have a real problem in this community when they are discovered.

Many kids feel invincible, drinking and taking prescription drugs seems harmless. That act doesn't make someone a bad person, just a kid that made a mistake. This one ended abruptly and with horrible consequences for Lexi, her friends and family. I truly hope that all personally affected with this can find some peace.

Evidently around the same time a 28 year old man was found OD'd in his bathroom by his family members and rushed to the hospital where he died.

I don't know if these deaths were in anyway connected or just a really sad coincidence. But I thought it was interesting that Fox 5 included both deaths in the same story.

I feel so bad for both of their families :(.

It's funny how her so called friends are going on fox5 dc for the article. If you clearly read they say "According to police, the girl died from complications caused by heroin use." what if she did die from heroin. It doesn't matter if she does from heroin or bars or oxy or alcohol. All the drugs taken caused her death. Her irresponsibility caused her death. According to her friends Alexia partied every weekend. She was a little girl just tryna have fun and her parents shouldn't have let her out that young. I want to know where were the owners of the house this party was thrown at. What parent let's their child have a party on a Monday. This is the problems with parents. Y'all need to know that your kids are better of being home than At a party where's there's drugs and alcohol. We live and we learn unfortunately for Alexia She wasn't able to learn but Her story should make a lot of people Reevalue life

First off nobody should diss xanax it helps people who know how to use drugs the correct way. Its sad she passed but she prob got some really good H for the first time and that put her down. My friend josh brown was hooked on H but never died because he was lucky. Who ever was the friend that was her the night before should have a lot of explaining to do

I will truely miss this girl, I wish her parents did a better job. Alexia was truely beautiful and there nothing bad that can be sad. She did go to a lot of parties and this party was Chloe's birthday party at her house and she dud drugs and alcohol there. I'm tired of other teens going on fox when they are not trying to tell fox the story because there afraid of getting there friends and possibly parent in trouble. I believe it was the parents fault but no one should really be put to blame. RIP Alexia you've always been an angel now your finally rising

She died after leaving Chloe's birthday party. It's no ones fault but it would be better if her close friends open up to reporters so that this case can rest. Her friends could have been more real and convinced her to stop, but most teens are selfish so Idk what to expect.

This is Fairfax Underground

We mock the clearly poor decisions your dead children make on a regularly basis. We then also mock the parents inability to be good at being parents.

Wormfood is all that matters here, and that is what this kid is now.

The only thing "shocking" about this is it was a Centreville kid, Westfield kids are known for drug overdoses. It's the souls of dead Westfield kids that haunt FFXU afterall.

If you see someone at a party or Wherre ever taking too much Drugs call 911 or get them to a hospital. That person will not get in trouble trust me. An ex boyfriend of mine took a shit ton of xanax, alcohol, oxy, and some other shit. He started to get a bad reaction and he was rushed to a hospital they save your ass from dying and send you home once you're good to go. Kids need to prevent shit from happening like a death of someone just because they're afraid to get people in trouble.

It was not heroin. Fox 5 has admitted to using the word "heroin" to avoid controversy with pharmaceutical companies that sponsor them. So it was prescription drugs.

Bingo. At 17, I'd say way more than 50% of the blame for this rests on her parents. Yes, she's almost an adult, but the parents can be in charge. She was obviously comfortable shooting up at home. What does that say?

Let me give it a try, OK.

Hey, teens and early 20-somethings!

I am going to give you some advice. Please listen.

My premise, before I give you the advice is, “ you are all knuckleheads.”

Seriously, I say that because all my friends and coworkers were knuckleheads at your age, and I was a knucklehead at your age.

So, can we agree you are all knuckleheads? Please remember most “knuckleheads” grow out of it by the time they are 25 or so.

Got it, you agree through natural human growth schedules, you are right now in the knucklehead stage.

OK, now work with me….What do knuckleheads do?

They do knuckleheaded things.

There are two very distinct categories of knuckleheaded things-those that may kill you, or kill someone else, and those that wont. Drugs are in the first folder- they cost precious money you don’t have, they mess up your mind, and they mess up your body. Oh. And they can kill you. Drugs can kill in many ways…You can overdose, you can be killed trying to acquire drugs, or you can be killed for having drugs.

OK, drugs, and/or people with drugs, and/or people who want your drugs, can kill you. It is not uncommon to be killed or die when you associate yourself with drugs or people with drugs. Now, for the ladies, people with drugs who want to give you drugs are not your friends. Seriously. They want something else in exchange for drugs, and what they want is NOT friendship.

Got it?? Simple stuff, right?

So, in order to not die from drugs, stay away from them. The ones pushing you to do drugs are not, and never will be, your friends.

I have always defined a friend as someone who will come down to the police station or courthouse and bail me out of jail after I did something knuckleheaded and got myself arrested. A drug dealer, or pusher, will never go to the police station and bail someone out of jail.

SO, in order to naturally mature out of your knucklehead life stage, avoid drugs, and avoid drug users. Each time you make a conscious decision and action avoiding drugs, and avoiding drug users, you will get smarter. The smarter you get, the less of a knucklehead you become. And you can then have, like I had, an awesome thirtieth birthday.

See how easy that was?

You know what? I didn't know her. That does not matter, though. I believe that it is my job to tell you that she was loved. She does not deserve the hate that she is getting.
Have you never done something bad? Made a mistake? Think about that. She made a mistake, and that mistake cost her her life. Now if you have some kind of jerk thing to say about her, I hope that you are thinking about what kind of person that makes you. I hope you are thinking about how you would feel if someone said just that thing to you. You probably think that that is stupid, but it isn't.
What comes around goes around goes around. Keep that in mind.

She pissed away her short life. No ones fault but hers. From what's said here, she was a party animal and a damned fool. You think mixing pills and alcohol is minor? Ask her not-so-caring parents and friends if that's true.

Choices have consequences. She made a bad choice and paid the price. The hers is just a little thinner now, and the average IQ of the school just got a little higher.

And can we presume you'll be partying this Saturday night?

I've never made a fatal mistake. That's the difference. And if nothing else, that makes me a smarter person.

And you believe in magical thinking also with nonsense about Karma? Here's a news flash - the Universe doesn't give a shit.

Shame on her friends for allowing any sort of drug activity to take place at a party. A tradgedy yes, but she deserved exactly what she got, and sure is going anywhere but heaven. Shame they don't teach you little twats statistics anymore. 1 kid overdosing on a cocktail of downers is an outlier.
