FYI to anybody driving 95 south today; there are state police at EVERY one of those driveways on the interstate. Some are even parked on hills behind trees.
I must have seen at least 25 people stopped from Fredericksburg to Falls Church.

Drive the speed limit and you wont get a VSP courtesy call, hopefully all the people who didnt notice the 20 speed limit signs they passed will be noticed by their insurance companies.

I don't know about Allstate, but Geico only does driving record checks every three years, or if you get a new car policy. There is no requirement to report infractions or reckless driving to your insurance.

That would be a good reason then to chance injuring others then since it wont cost any extra money when you get caught

I wonder if this is a coordinated multi-state program...I drove to Philadelphia this morning and thought that there was a higher than normal trooper presence in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

I think its just because it's Friday during the summer. A lot of vacationing out of staters will be speeding through here.
I noticed that the State Police are stopping a lot of semis too today.

I was on the Dulles Greenway headed eastbound when about five cop cars (two Loudoun County and three VSP RACED west bound.
There was also a very bad wreck on Eastbound & near the W & O D overpass a few minutes earlier.

I just drove home from Philly tonight..not many troopers out at all, but the freakin Jersey drivers were insane as usual.
