Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Anyone know what was going on on 7/7 in the Burke, Fairfax Station area near the intersection of 123 and Burke Centre Pkwy? Police everywhere, roadblocks...
It was unbelievable. Children everywhere were puking and crying, the damned lined up for their sorry fate. Elderly were pointing at something the rest of us couldn't see, and all of the animals stopped, looked roughly west, and appeared to be crying.
An old lady screamed something about Atta, and an old guy pointed at the whole mess and uttered "republikans."
I could just pull up the freely-available online police scanner and listen in live on what is happening, but why do that when we can speculate?

Would have loved to listen live - but it wasn't going to happen while I was at work. Just hoping someone had some info. I rather like your scenario. I think I'll run with that and accept that I missed quite the show.

Sounds plausible...my house is buffered from the railroad tracks by about 100 yards of parkland roughly 1/2 mile north of the 123/BCP intersection and it seemed like FFX1 was right on top of my house. I had back to back conference calls and the noise was audible over the speakerphone.

An old lady screamed something about Atta, and an old guy pointed at the whole mess and uttered "demokrats."
