Is there an autopsy report? His body is still warm, seems like a rush to judgement.

My guess is a minority woman what will embrace gender fluidity and will want to repeal the 2nd Admendment.

Hey Gerry - Why don't you quit whining about everything and do some work to achieve what you want. You can start locally by trying to change the Fairfax County Government's definition of a person:

"Person shall mean any individual, corporation, cooperative, partnership, firm, association, trust, estate, private institution, group, agency, or any legal successor, representative, agent, or agency thereof. "

He was a dogmatic and at times extreme judicial activist who let his personal religious and political feelings muddy his understanding and interpretation of the law. The nation is worse off for his tenure on the Court and well off in his long-awaited departure from it.

I think for this round, Obama will pick Eric Holder. When Ruth Bader-Ginsberg retires (or dies) before the end of this year, he'll pick a minority female. His first obligation is to Mr. Holder.

I guess when Justice Scalia trounced on Obama's EPA plans, the hit was on. May the good justice R.I.P.

An unexplained, unprecedented, and unexpected 5-4 ruling that stays a plan few would have seen any potential issue in. The lower courts certainly failed to find any. A sell-out to corporate global warming deniers would certainly appear to have been the culprit here once again.

Really? Primary risk factors for an MI include high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, lack of exercise, obesity, high blood cholesterol, poor diet, and excessive alcohol intake. How many of those applied to Scalia?

Hard to say, but it is reasonable to infer that the man had some of these conditions. He appeared to be significantly overweight, perhaps obese, with most of his weight around his belly - a known risk factor for heart disease. Given his weight, he probably had high blood pressure, which would undoubtedly be treated, but who knows how well. Similarly, he may have had high cholesterol and elevated sugar levels. Wouldn't surprise me if he had metabolic syndrome. I've read he was also a smoker. And he was not young.

I hope you're not implying that Scalia was murdered. That would be incredibly paranoid and delusional.

The "perfect candidate" would have more than "some". Nearly all of us at age 40 and above have "some". In any case, the judge who pronounced Scalia dead did so over the telephone. She had not examined nor even seen the body. This is Texas, of course, so that sort of thing is perfectly okay. The judge has also stated that she used the term "myocardial infarction" only to indicate that his heart had stopped. Her actual conclusion was that he had died of something she called "natural causes." Again, this is rural Texas we are talking about.

> I hope you're not implying that Scalia was murdered.
> That would be incredibly paranoid and delusional.

I'm implying that one need not be a "perfect candidate" for a heart attack to in fact suffer one. There are mounting risks that we all need to pay attention to as we get older. Regular check-ups and reminders that we need to be a little more cautious as we age are very important. That's why Obamacare calls for insurers to put an emphasis on such things.

He died in the middle of nowhere, outside the scope of competent medical care. The family does not want an autopsy. This is likely the result of belief in some sort of voodoo mumbo-jumbo, but to this point at least, it's their call. Unless Scalia's personal physician is sitting on something, the likelihood that an exact cause of death will ever be known is very small indeed.

So the moral of the story is if someone is "old" and has one or more risk factors, it is safe to kill/murder/assassinate them. They can be offed without fear of detection and nobody is going to bother with any due diligence.

Hey Obama smokes, is half-black and is over 50. That's 3 risk factors.

His personal physician is professional here in the DC area who provides care to members of Congress and the Supreme Court. As such, he has no jurisdiction in remote West Texas, but he is preparing a confidential summary of Scalia's health status prior to death that will be attached to the death certificate. We know he had been recently treated for a shoulder injury. That's about the extent of it to this point.

That said he does not have the authority to preform a autopsy in Texas, That's up to them. The same kind of thing happened with JFK's killing in Dallas in 1963. There was a showdown at Parkland Hospital with the Secret Service and Dr Earl Rose the Dallas medical examiner, Rose wanted JFK's body to stay in Texas and be autopsied their as Texas law required. The Feds took JFK's body back to Dc where he was autopsied by the Navy at Bethesda and that screwed a lot of things up with the investigation of where he had been shot, The throat, the back , from the front.and questions remain today.

Scalia probably had been under treatment and probably had to have some issues
as he was 79.

What needs to be determined is?? Where there any Illegal Supporters at the Ranch.. Was the door lock picked? This will never end and good reason NOT to Allow Obama To Make a Replacement Pick!

yeah because if Obama really wanted Scalia gone it makes total sense to wait until the final year of his presidency, not back in 2009 before SCOTUS got a chance to review things like healthcare, gay marriage etc.

So in other words, you are in complete agreement with the earlier post. Brilliant.

"Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara told The Associated Press on Monday she spoke with Scalia’s doctor on the day he was found dead in his room at a remote Texas ranch. She said the doctor told her that Scalia had a history of heart trouble, high blood pressure and was considered too weak to undergo surgery for a recent shoulder injury...

Guevara said Monahan told her Scalia had gone to the doctor’s office on both Wednesday and Thursday before traveling to Texas, and had an MRI on his shoulder. She said Monahan told her surgery was needed, but that Scalia wasn’t strong enough to endure surgery so rehabilitation was recommended instead." http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/02/15/texas-judge-who-decided-no-autopsy-was-needed-in-scalia-death-discloses-new-details/

My dad had a piece of shrapnel removed (Korea) along with 1/4 of his lung at 79 and did fine. Scalia was a physical train wreck if he could not endure a little shoulder surgery. He was totally on borrowed time.

Hillary kills dozens every day...

FARMINGDALE, NJ. -- Seymour Robert Burke, age 93, passed away here on February 10, 2016, following a short illness.

Sure. A "short illness". It was Hillary!

Uh, there are fewer than 100 people in the world, out of 7 Billion, who have been verified to be older than 110 years at the present time.

There are nevertheless several hundred living supercentenarians, and more who reach the mark every year. A mere 79 is not "Old Age" anymore.

I love to go to conservative sites like TheBlaze and troll the posters. You should see how many there believe Obama killed Scalia and is planning to take over the Supreme court so he can appoint himself President indefinitely. Im not joking. Wish I had the tinfoil concession over there.

Secret Service calls and says "He's not breathing, his heart isn't beating, and he's room temp" -- I think that likely qualifies for declaring him dead without seeing the body, eh?

Secret Service? Why the fuck would the Secret Service call anyone in this situation?

His body will be exhumed, and foul play will be the verdict. This stinks to high heaven. I know the Right and the left would like an investigation, Top to bottom left and Right, Fair and balanced CSI is/was the law in our country.

Because they reportedly were there, providing security. While SCOTUS justices don't normally use Secret Service protection, it apparently does happen at times, presumably, for example, when one is going to be in an uncontrolled environment at a hunting lodge in Texas...

It's a nice place. It would be a shame to have such a vile and hateful person there on a permanent basis.

Well, I sure wasn't there and thus can't claim to know, but that's what the press reported. Of course, they rarely get everything right; every news story that I've ever had first-hand knowledge of included major, easily verified mistakes.

I don't care about this cuz I'm not sad he died since he hatedl black people. Things are getting real bad for us since all the racism for Obama. The best for now is to have Obama put a black guy in to there to replace him since we know the black guy there now is more white then black.
