La tolteca a nice place for old hags and fat girls to get drunk and hook up with illegal kitchen workers.Food is just above taco bell. Prices are decent but not worth getting sick. The workers are
Always sick and smell like they haven't showered for days. Save your money go somewhere else.
Peace,
Trent

Good happy hour specials. I wish Hacienda El Paso was still open, they were great.

The food is pretty good and possibly the best of it's type I have had around here.

You must be joking or are you one of the old hags hooking up with the undocumented workers. Ice should raid that place not for the workers but for bad food.

Yeah, I'm so happy now that someone said something that can be potentially misconstrued as offensive. Now I can throw a fit and pretend to be offended. Now's my 5 minutes of fame. Aaaand, it's gone.

Fuck illegals.

No not at all. What is so bad about it? I've had some kind of steak, fajitas, and shrimp ceviche there, which were all pretty good. But I don't have any ties to the place and if you want to recommend somewhere you think is better, I'll definitely check it out and post a comparison review.

To the fans of La Tolteca, what do you order? I've spent quite a bit of time in Austin and I have not found any restaurant in NOVA that compares to the good eats all over Texas. I went to La Tolteca nearly 10 years ago and wasn't impressed. Talk me into giving it a second chance.

I don't think it is up to Austin standards, but like I said the shrimp ceviche used to be pretty good, and I had some kind of marinated steak -- I forget the menu name. Fajitas are decent as well.

You might try El Paso in Springfield too.

I hope you are not eventually going to invoke Chuy's as the standard bearer for Austin Tex-Mex. Their food is gawd awful. I have not eaten at La Tolteca, but it could not possibly be worse than Chuy's.

Texans talking about Mexican food in DC are like people from Buffalo talking about snow.

Shaddap or go back home!
