Great Falls to Test "Pay on Exit" February 13-14

Great Falls Park to Test “Pay on Exit” Process

February 13-14 Great Falls Park will be piloting a “pay upon exit” process. This pilot will help to inform management whether collecting fees on exit will minimize wait times for people entering the park, similar to shopping malls and other area parking.

Sounds like a great plan, but how about adding a message board with a counter as to how full the lot is a the park?

The problem is on really nice Summer days, there is not space to park and the line will also back up on Old Dominion and Georgetown Pike.

They also need to tie in with Easy Pass so you can just cruise out without the need for a ticket, cash or credit.

If they use their heads around the park things could really change.

It would be nice to be able to check a board on the web with alerts about the parking lot being full and wait times. They need to add some parking space to Great Falls.

They should turn all of great falls park into a parking lot. That would solve a lot of issues. It would also require only minimal signage changes:
