Did Verizon get sabotaged?

I cant get into my email. Says: Connection to Server has failed

Been like this for about an hour?

Based on what I've heard from others, Verizon *may* have changed email server names and failed to notify customers (or you missed it).

Why on earth would they do a thing like that? Why would other Verizon customers also not notified of any such change be receiving the same service as always?

Because Verizon.

Big companies do stupid things: not because they want to, but because they decide to do X, which requires notification Y and infrastructure change Z, but then Mary goes on vacation or quits and Y never happens...and so it goes.

Verizon sent out notice a few month's ago about email accounts being deleted if not used.
