My sister wants to get a piercing, but she's only 17 years old. She tried using my ID, but they rejected her. (We look fairly alike, but they actually checked the height... she's taller than me.) Are there any piercings places where they don't card you?

The police read this site, so any business that does that would probably not want that information disseminated here...

And besides, if a place is willing to ignore the carding laws, what other regs might they be ignoring? I hope your sister is ready to fight a staph infection or worse.. and it doesn't get much worse.

Besides, you can do it yourself: Get one of those metal wire hangers and cut the straight part out. File it down to a good point, then rub it with alcohol to clean it. Clean it real good. Fire up the Zippo and make the tip good 'n hot, then JAM that sucker straight through her labia -- that is where she wants to get pierced, right? because that's HOT.

I did mine when I was 15 or 16, just iced the earing hard, iced the ear hard, and rubbed the earing in rubbing alcohol. and then stuck it in. it's easy.

The tattoo and peircing fad went out of style about 3 years ago. Try something else like a workout type body.

I'm curious as to why you feel that people with piercings and/or tattoos can't be accomplished as well? I actually have several piercings and tattoos, as do several of my co-workers, and we save lives every day. Pretty sure that's accomplishing something. Would you refuse me as a medical provider for the simple fact that I have tattoos and piercings?

On another note... as a medical provider I have seen MANY piercings gone awry and have prescribed multiple antibiotics to get rid of the abscesses. I don't suggest anyone go to a parlor willing to "overlook" the rules. They're there for a reason. I have to say, I just don't understand the fascination with tattoos and piercings in our youth these days. Earrings are fine, but why tattoo yourself for the heck of it or put metal all over your face or genitals? Live a little and then get a tattoo with meaning!

Ok, I'll admit it - too many tattoos and piercings? YES! I would refuse you as a medical provider. Why? Cause it's odd and I've NEVER seen an overly pierced and tatted doctor in my life.

you could be the best in your field, but if you look like someone who should be fixing a motorcycle or running a bar, then I'm not gonna be jumping at the chance for you to put your hands inside me or my child - and in the medical field, patient's comfort level should mean something................if that doesnt concern the doctor, then I dont want to be their patient no matter what.

People with piercings and/or ink are crying for attention
and recognition - of any type. They typically are unable
to get the desired attention by accomplishing anything of
note, and so instead opt to get a pound of metal in their
face or genitals. Or a picture of a flaming skull in a
very obvious place. They are low-performing and impulsive,
and once they do something like this in a visible place,
will never get any type of respectable job.

I started a new position within my company recently and
am working with a woman who impressed me with her skills
and personality. Then she showed a tattoo that covers her
whole back and appears to extend onto her ass. My opinion
dropped instantly and the first thing I think is "immature
skank".
