Anyone know a carpet place near tysons that actually has a warehouse with remnants and not just sample tiles to look at?

You mean so that you can go and look at the actual carpet you want to buy, rather than choosing a color and having them deliver the color you chose?

One of the beauties of industrialization is that outputs are standardized. Every carpet of the same lot of the same color is going to look exactly the same.

However, just about any local carpet shop is going to have a warehouse of some sort, somewhere where they receive their shipments from the manufacturers, and store a small amount of leftover or returned carpeting. I'm just not sure any of them are going to let you go to their warehouse (for one thing, insurance issues, for another, it's just a hassle for them.)

There's about 20 carpet stores in Vienna. You could start by calling all of them until you find one willing to let you go to their warehouse.

There's also at least one carpet shop in those warehouse flats on Tyco. They probably have their warehouse sitting right behind their showroom.

Call any carpet store. They normally will have some remnants in the back. Most of the time they charge maybe 10 - 20 bucks. I get them every so often, mostly for little projects, but I don't live near Tysons.
