Accident on 7/1 - I-66 Vienna Metro Exit

anybody see this accident yesterday? it was around 2:00-2:30pm. one car was all messed up and the other car flipped all the way over. nobody died or anything, did they?

There are accidents all the fucking time near Nutley. The one that impressed me was the crash on I66 west between I-66 and Nutley involving three charterd busses full of kids from Rockingham county. Ambulances, fire engines, the "mass casualty" vehicles, and VSP cruisers all over the place.

I got stuck in that disaster. I got on 66 W right around the time the crash happened. Took me over 2 hours to get from McLean to Clifton. What a nightmare.

There was something at I66 and the beltway this morning, had to bail at 50 to get around it. I think only one lane on the left was getting by, according to the traffic report. I have no idea how long I would have sat on 66 this morning had I not bailed off.

Two left lanes were open according to the signs - one regular and the HOV Lane. Took 40 minutes to go from Monument Drive to the Nutley Street exit. That's usually a 15 minute trip...

Yeah, I remember now the signs said two lanes, but Lisa Headachen on WTOP said one lane so I didn't want to chance it. Sounds like bailing was a good idea.
