I just returned off 236 and Wakefield Chapel Rd, by NVCC and the roads were blocked off from the 236 overpass of 495 to the college. All off shoot roads were also closed with police cars?

I had a summer course I had to get to this morning at the annandale campus and you could see that a lot of the parking areas were taped off as well as other parts of the campus.

The school sent out an email yesterday that basically only said that there would be "major road and parking closings" on July 1st at the Annandale campus of NVCC, but didn't go into further explanation as to why.

I guess I need to check my school email more often because I wasn't even aware that there would be road closings and parking changes today. I couldn't even walk right into the main building to get to my class and ended up walking pretty much the furthest possible distance to get there.



I can't even guess why so much of the parking lot was closed and several buildings were inaccessible from the outside....maybe some type of preparation for a safety drill, i don't know.



Buy yeah, i'd like to know what the hell was going on today too.

No wonder you go to NOVA. Can you read? The post above yours spelled it out clearly. THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES was there to sell health care reform.

Fuck off marty, at least im doing something with my life. I didn't catch that POTUS was a reference to the president, so geez IM SORRY.

It just would've been nice if the actual school had told us why everyone had to park 2 miles away and couldn't get into half the buildings.

They don't want to tell everyone in advance because then a big crowd will show.

Well it all makes sense now seeing as how random parts of the campus were all taped off but there didn't seem to be any kind of serious problem going on.
