Homeless guy and dog braddock

How long has this guy been there? I see tarps and then they are gone and then back up again. He has a dog. Is this county land?

The squat had been there for over a year, but like you said, sometimes it's dismantled. It's nice that the dog has a warm jacket in this cold weather.

If I give the squatter some canned chili, hot dogs, crackers, a Nationals hat, & root beer, along with Gravy Train for the dog, you think he would let me borrow his hovel? It would be a nice place to take a Backpage girl for a roll in the hay. I'll even let him keep himself warm in my work truck, while I pound her.

That's a nice dude, goes by Billy Joe, had some shit turns in life. Talk to him, he's cool. Never gave the man any money but I do hook him up with some water in the summer from time to time. Fuck that's a hard life man, but I've always been a working man, shit scares me back to work every day! But that's his job man, working that exit, full time no bennies other than he's got the best fucking commute of all of us that don't work at home.

The dog probably makes it tolerable for him as far as loneliness. A dog also loves it when its master isn't away from him all day. Good chance his dog is happier than most

I wonder what the dog's perspective on the living arrangement is. Does he wish he lived in a house? Does it feel more natural to rough it? My dogs like to camp, I think they would like this, maybe less so when it's freezing. I hope they are both staying warm.

I review their "non-profit" tax filings. Many of these churches are VERY generous to their leader. Not so much with the poor or homeless.

Where is this located exactly? Has anybody actually talked with this man? Is he approachable and reasonable? I would consider taking him some supplies for himself and his dog, but only if he seems open to this.

There used to be a homeless man who I would see at the Bloom grocery store and also the gas station across the street, not far from Frying Pan park. If I saw him and was going to shop, I would get him a few items. He never seemed to take offense nor seemed threatening in any way towards me (I am female). This man disappeared and I have not seen him in awhile.

He could be a good neighbor and pick up the litter along the parkway while he's at it. Don't give him money, give him garbage bags.

Why wreck this man's camp like that? He's not bothering anyone and he's taking care of his dog. Let the dude and his dog be.

If he was disturbing/bothering people or in some way being a menace that would be one thing. But he isn't. As far as trash and eyesores go, I have quite literally seen more trash in the yards of legit eyesore homes than this guy has around his camp. If you didn't know he was there you might miss him.

its easy for people to sit and judge and make comments from behind their computers and living off their parents paychecks. It take real humans to go out there and find out what the real issue is.
you don't have to be Repub, Dem. or liberal to care about another human. If you see something, then do something about it instead of whining about eyesores.
Now, as for you haters of churches and religion, I have seen folks from those churches buy food and clothing for this man and his dog. People do care and people do help.
Do not judge another human without first being in their shoes.
All said and done, last Sunday, I bought him a nice tent, food and some clothes and fresh water. He was very happy and thankful.
If you can, then help him and others like him. Maybe one in 10 people really need your help. Let not the ones that don't need help scare you off by labeling them all "Junkies" and "Squatters" and various other names.
Do what you can, when you can.

I am not looking for glory and I am certainly not rich. I barely make ends meet myself. But it doesn't mean I can't help someone even less fortunate. Unlike some people who can afford to help him out of his current situation but choose to drive by and ignore him. Instead they likely pray he goes away so they don't have to be reminded they are willingly letting someone needlessly suffer. Some see him as trash I see a soul that can use help. I want to make sure he is alive. So get off your high horse and do something with your life othe than bully people online. - I know you are not billy joe because he is kind.

Talked to the man last week, asked him how "work" was today and if people are being cool. He laughed and said they probably think he's crazy, because a few turkey vultures were riding a thermal sorta above him and he had waved his arms at them and told them to buzz off. He laughed, light turned green, told him take care and on I went. It's funny to see people dive for the right eastbound turn lane when they come around the bend and see him. Usually someone in a nice ride, often female. It's getting warmer out, hook him up with a case of water y'all.

This panhandling business is a lot tougher than I expected. I can't be expected to stay on my feet all day, so I'm setting up a donations box. Please stuff money into it. I'll drop by a couple times a day to pick up your contributions ($10's and $20's preferred). Thanks and God Bless!

Geeze, you all really DO hate EVERYONE.

This is a FELLOW WHITE MAN that is homeless- and you STILL deride him.

Either help him out, or leave him be! Why pick on THIS homeless guy instead of the others who are doing much worse (drinking in public, stealing, being illegal, etc)...

All of you are in comfy homes and offices eating well and playing keyboard cops instead of actually helping the homeless out...

If you really want him gone- offer him an open greyhound ticket (yes it is possible to get one, just go to the station to buy one) and $100 for food on the way. Otherwise STFU and live and let live.

My bad, I forgot what website I am on- carry on then.

The man you speak of is named Billy Joe and his dog Buddy. Billy is from Texas and is a veteran of war who served in the Navy. He was married and is in the middle of a separation/divorce. His wife kicked him and his dog onto the streets. I don't know his whole story but I have stopped to help and talk to him. He is a kind soul but definitely can always use help with water, food and supplies. I'm not sure how well the Veteran Affairs office is helping him either. But the last thing this guy needs is someone ragging him on the internet (or pretending to be him)... or saying disgusting things. Instead, man up and go talk to the guy and do something to help. Snapping photos and attempting to humiliate homeless people online (especially veterans) is deplorable. Do what you can do help...

If you look up on Craig's list in the rooms wanted section in California areas you will find tons of homeless or about to be homeless people thrown out of their living situations when landlords decide to cash in and leave town. One is living on the floor of a condemned building, another wants a spot on a farm where he can pitch his yurt and grow his own food. Many of these people sre not criminals and thugs, they are norrmal folks in a bad situation who want to find a job and get back on their feet. The rents in California have gotten so high that no one in the middle class can afford them any more. Don't know what the poorer classes are doing there to be able to stay.

Lazy entitled libs do not want to work. They want a handout. Lib policies are driving away the middle class. Only limo libs and deadbeats benefit from voting Democrat.
