DC-Airports - British Plot

Any word on the state of DC-are airports after the terror plot was thwarted in the UK? I heard authorities are saying to provide two to three hours of lead time before your flight.

What about my Jergens lotion? Those cross-Atlantic flights can get rather long and, well, you know...

The real plot is to keep me from smuggling my own airline sized bottles of booze onto flights. Yeah, I'm cheap, but come on, they're $1 at ABC and $5 on the plane, f them. If they're not frisking people, why cant I just keep it in my pocket? It wont set off the metal detector. Appease the masses with the appearance of security I guess.

Okay why would you bring a drink on anyways, Don't they offer FREE drinks on most flights. I understand special needs, but you should have to drink some before getting on to prove its nothing bad.

They should lock all carry-on lugged up, And have the overhead bins lined with some kind of radio wave protection. To prevent remote detonating.

Laptops/Cell Phones are tricky, but if you prove they work before getting on a plane there is almost no where to hide explosives. Being so small.

And I say fuck it frisk everyone. If it takes hiring 10,000 more people to do it. Make the flights more expensive or increase taxes. I hate how America wants safety but isn’t willing to pay the price.. Hello we are at war

I heard about that. It was the one where people complained that a Middle Eastern man was in the bathroom for an extended period. Talk about racial profiling.

They say you have to put the liquids in your checked baggage. That makes no sense, you could just remotly detonate it from the cabin. The plane still blows up.

Now all someone has to do is get dehydrated and die b/c they couldn't bring on their 20 bottles of gatorade. The airlines should have to bring back the good old days where you get a meal, 3 drink services, and a snack.

I think what we need is for someone to start a rumor that the terrorists have developed a substance that you swallow and then it makes your spooge explosive. That way, at the security screening, they'd force you to jack off before you went though. After all, you can't be too careful!

It'd be alot less scary if that were true. But it's not.

it is true. i personally know someone who's job is to check baggage. it's checked by two seperate people before it makes it onto the plane.

Not sayin I believe everything I hear on the news, but I recently heard a story on the radio (WTOP, I think), that mentioned how the TSA still was not screening every single checked bag. Maybe they do screen every bag around here, but not at every airport in the country?

Ok, but suppose you put your liquid explosive in your gatorade bottle in your checked bag. They see that and figure you put it in checked bag b/c you can't carry it on.

it would need something to make it explode. the pertruding wires and antenna might tip them off. :P

Why make the wires protrude or have an external antenna? For example, let's take the Motorola RAZR cell phone. No external antenna, but it transmits radio waves just fine. No protruding wires b/c there's a circuit board inside.
The RAZR v3
You could fit a circuit board inside a plastic bag dyed same color as gatorade. The antenna is just a long steel wire, since signal wont have to go 30 feet (cabin to baggage hold) you'd be ok with a small one. Get that stuff inside the bottle, and fill bag with air so it won't move around in bottle. Get it behind the label so it wont be seen. Liquid above and below it will still slosh around, so it looks normal. Disolve the C4 in the gatorade and pour in. a watch battery for power.

Disclaimer: Don't do this. I am not advocating nor do I in any way support the constructing of such a device. If you do it's not my fault. This is for informational purposes only.

  • wouldnt that cause it to be opaque and discolored?
  • for something so diluted, i dont think it would do much damage if it exploded.
  • it would set off any metal detector easily.
  • how would you know where you lugage was so that you would be close to it.
  • i dont think such a weak signal would make it through the metal between the cargo area and the cabin.
while creative, you would be caught with ease.

I must admit, gravis is right. Not too many bomb formulas have water mixed in. That gatorade plan is idiotic.

I'm no expert, but is C4 water soluble?

Apparently C4 can only be detonated with a blasting cap. Watch battery sure as hell won't do it.

nah, that's the point for power (battery) you need electricity to set off the blasting cap.

Now, screw the C4, use nitroglycerin. That stuff blows up with a lot of shaking. Lot of turbulence...

Cargo hold is in the rear of the plane.

NOw, if you had a uniform for either the fueling company, the plane repair or Sky CHef (food) you could fuXor the whole place. Can you say Cintas?

You could make whatever the hell bomb you want and put it in the galley.

Or you could do a redo of TWA flight 800. Get a load of vapor in the fuel tank and boom.

have you seen how the luggage is handled before it gets on the plane? it would explode before it even got 20 feet from you.

My child left a phone turned on in a checked bag and security pulled us out to claim it prior to departure.

The rep who presented it to us said all bags checked/ loaded went through a scanner and if certain indicators were seen, specific bags were pulled and examined further.
