barbershop where English is the primary native language...

Not being xenophobic but I'm getting tired of getting a haircut that's not what I'm asking for due to the fact that the barber doesn't understand the nuances of the English language. Usually get a decent haircut but 90% of the time it's is cut way too short.

There's plenty of old time barbers like that. Just not in NOVA.

Take I-66 west to I-81 south. Around about Staunton or so, things will start to resemble the America that we once knew.

When your hair is the length and style that you like, take several pictures of it with your cellphone. When you go to the barber, show them the pictures. Ain't that hard.

Believe it or not, KP barber was the last straw. I went there last week remembering they were an "American" barber shop, walked in and there was one American dude, busy, and two Asian folks, one a lady, busy, and an old dude. Guess who I got. Old Asian dude. And a misfire haircut. Ooh well. So I reached out to the greater ffxu community!

The picture idea isn't a bad thought but why can't I just f'n tell 'em?

I'm down with a"black "barber shop too, I don't care as long as we can communicate in English and they can cut hair!

You are insane if you are going to let a black man bring a razor to your head. My barber cones to my house. Only losers have to "go to" a barber. You also probably do your own grocery shopping. Shit, get a job people.

Better save your money there, slick.

Most of the older white male school bus drivers are former high-flying IT geniuses like yourself. Same with the guys at Lowe's and HD. They aged out of the IT biz and you will too.

It's later than you think.

Bradlee Barber, in Bradlee shopping center. 1/2 white, 1/2 Asian, but the Asians (Vietnamese) speak good 'merican.

First of all if you go to a barber you will get a barber haircut. Shorter than you ask for, electric clipper cut only, in and out in 15-20 minutes. How do you think that will look? Pay some money and go to a stylist, get a scissor cut, and a decent style. It will look great and last much longer. Don’t be afraid to spend $60.00 to look good. Have some class and you will stand out from the normal flip flop wearing Joe the rag man.

Hate to break it to you Mr. GQ, but for most guys, if you are not going with a longer hair style, the difference between a clipper cut and a scissor cut doesn't matter. My SIL grew up a military brat, but insisted on going to a stylist. When the pandemic hit the shop closed down. My daughter bought a pair of clippers and started cutting his hair. You could not tell the difference.
