Is this project still going to happen?

"All parks have a master plan. They're meant to last for around 40 years and the planning process doesn't require them to ever consider funding. They generally hold public meetings when they draw up new master plans. I've been to a couple for work and some people got really hostile. It was like a scene from Parks and Rec. Some of the older master plans are crazy and bear no resemblance to how the park actually looks.

The fact is, most of the maintenance/ground crews that would be responsible for making any of these things happen are overworked and understaffed. With the exception of ball fields (which are politically popular and revenue positive) most changes listed in master plans aren't going to happen at all until the county's funding picture looks very different."

I've seen guys practice their putting in this park.

The land was purchased by the county for the proposed Monticello Freeway that was never built.

It may also have been the site of the first Bunnyman appearance in the early 70s.

Joke Insurance, do you suffer from multiple personalities?
Kinda strange to ask a question and a day later answer it.

I found the answer to my question and decided to post it. Any person with logic would have figured that out.

Oh, I'm skilled in the logiczz!

It would be more credible to provide attribution to your answer. Just slapping some quotes around a statement isn't much of an answer.

Who said it? Your dog? Pet goat?
Where did you get it from?

Using logic, I could easily conclude you posted the original as a rhetorical question to bait someone into discussing the 'overworked and understaffed' parks department to support the endless bloviating of 'government bad' here.

From the Fairfax County Site:

"Features in the approved Monticello Park Master Plan include an off leash dog park, trail circuit, skate feature, playground, parking, and open lawn".

How the hell will all that crap fit in that little strip along the road? Just leave it how it is.

Nefarious local contractor keeps burying illegal aliens he did not want to pay on the grounds, so the resulting investigations keep delaying the project.

Local contractor is delaying things, but overall doing the community a great service.
