Since the Walking Dead takes place in Alexandria, has anyone noticed any uptick in tourism in the area like Georgia did when the show first aired?

The show is not filmed in Alexandria. It is done in Georgia.

Also, nowhere in Alexandria is even close to looking like that. Like many shows that take place in this area, they are much more rural on TV. I laugh when NCIS is in "Woodbridge" and you'd think it was a small town in the middle of nowhere.

OP stated that the show "takes place in Alexandria" not that it is filmed in Alexandria. Try to keep up with the conversation.

Use common sense. Why would somebody visit a location where something "takes place" vice where it is actually filmed and you can see the actual set? I'm assuming the OP was confused.

I get a charge out of Homeland. GS-12's living in Great Falls and Georgetown mansions and driving Beemers. Oh yeah. I also like how they can walk from
Georgetown to Capitol Hill in 10 minutes.

Anyone remember when the terrorists took a john boat from Alexandria across the Potomac and ended up in a secret tunnel under the White House? LOL
