I don't so. The back roof of a CRV is flat. This one car has a curved back roof. High taillights might a clue however.

I would say it's a Honda Crosstour, if not a CR-V the newer ones not like the silver one posted above.

I don't think it's a Crosstour either. The taillights are to high in the back.

(Nov. 2, 2015) Fatal Hit and Run Crash in the Alexandria Area

Police are investigating an overnight fatal pedestrian crash where the driver and vehicle fled the scene. Around 10:43 p.m. the pedestrian, Zahoor Ali Khan, 69, of the Alexandria area, was crossing Franconia Road, south to north, in the 5600 block. It appears he stopped in the unprotected median to wait for passing traffic when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. The vehicle and its driver failed to stop.

Khan was found in the travel lanes at the intersection of Franconia Road and Brookland Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if speed or alcohol are factors in the crash. Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this crash or has information on the driver or the striking vehicle, believed to be a white, full-size van or truck.

Can not tell 100% from the back. But these are possibilities:

Toyota Highlander (probably '07)
Ford Edge
Honda CRV (newish)
