Mr. Yusef Principal of Thoreau MS They hired him as Principal.... We don't know anything about him. Why did they hire someone with the last name of Yusef?

His name is Yousef Azimi. He is a very qualified educator. He is half Hispanic and half Arab. He grew up in the area and went to Luther Jackson Middle School and Falls Church High School, where he was the student government president. The Thoreau community is lucky to have him as their new principal.

Thoreau is not in Vienna, and as an area middle school, many of its students come from outside the town as well.

Azimi is NOT hispanic, by NO MEANS is he even remotely hispanic. He is of two Afghan parents who were born in Afghanistan. he was raised here in the DC area, but he is arab all the way. Affirmative action wins again!

After hood left no one could fill the position, with as much skill, since azimi wasn't gonna be principal of Madison Hs they gave him thoreau to keep him at fcps
