Fairfax County resident - received DC photo speeding ticket, options?

Got caught on camera doing 50 in a 25 zone, fine was $200. Date has passed, fine is now $400 freakin dollars.

No other tickets in DC on my record. Should I pay this stupid ridiculous amount, or just throw the ticket in the trash?

It's DC, piss on it and throw it in the Potomac. Screw 'em. Nothing will happen to you. Do not respond to ANYTHING.

Virginia residents do not have to pay DC photo tickets. There is no reciprocity between the two DMVs and DC can't do a damn thing. Fuck 'em

Did it arrive certified mail? Was it signed for by anyone at your residence? If not...as far as you are concerned, you've never received anything.

Since 1998, I have received 28 pieces of mail from DC, MD and VA in regards to my alleged running of red lights. I haven't paid a one of them. I have never received a court summons nor have my insurance rates been increased.

What's more surprising is you haven't killed yourself and somebody else yet.
