Connell Loftus was one of the managing partners of the famously fraudulent debt collection law firm, Mann Bracken. It collapsed when its own scam caught up with it. Now, Loftus, after jumping from job to job, has landed at a rather undistinguished firm in Manassas.

His wife, Nancy, seems to have sustained the Loftus household through Connell's misadventures. She did this through her position at the Fairfax County Attorney's Office. She ran afoul of policy and procedure when she was elected to the Fairfax City Council. One has to question her thinking, as this move cost her approximately $80,000 a year in salary as well as insurance.

If that isn't crooked, then nothing is. How much did Nancy know? Nancy needs to make a public statement regarding how much she knew about her husband's business dealings, to say nothing of how much tainted Mann Bracken money the Loftus family received.

When someone complained to the Better Business Bureau about Mann Bracken, Mann Bracken said they had never heard of the person.

Connell Loftus bounced from one job to another after the collapse of Mann Bracken, which was a large, sleazy, operation. Now he's out in Manassas at Coulter and Dove, hardly a distinguished firm.

One still has to wonder what Nancy is hiding.
