Will Schools Be Closed Thursday and Friday???

Virginia Governor declared a state of emergency, retroactive to Tuesday, whatever that means.

The FCPS Risk Management Policy clearly states that all schools must close during declared states of emergencies, and public use of facilities is forbidden. School buses and work vehicles must be relocated to safe areas. Non-essential personnel are prohibited from coming to work.

Designated schools may be opened by emergency personnel to serve as shelters.

Will FCPS ignore the Governor's warning and accept the huge liability potential if something happens?

Or has our weekend already begun?

Of course the FFX schools will be closed. It's going to rain. We can't have buses and kids out in the rain.

If the rain turns into snow and the high tornado winds start a'blowing...we would have snow-nados sucking the children up at the bus stops and depositing them God knows where. Maybe even Manassas (shudder).

Steve Rudin said he wouldn't be surprised if some schools closed tomorrow, but nothing yet. I don't understand the point of moving football games if there's still school tomorrow.

It's Monday that's our best bet.

Why not take those 400 rolls and stuff them in the mouth of the OP, since nowhere can I find anything about FCPS closing in this situation, or when the governor declares a state of emergency.
