Fairfax County is in the traffic business

Yes, I ran the traffic signal at the Burke Lake golf course. You generally sit there for 5 or 10 minutes waiting with no traffic visible within a mile. I'll pay the (excessive) $100 fine; my bad.

But now the fun begins
Processing Fee: $67
Credit or Debit card "Convenience Fee": $7 (4%)
Total: $174

Traffic fines/processing/convenience fees seem like a great business for Fairfax County. I'll make it a point to spend at least twice that $174 in a free county if I can find one.

Fairfax County is an alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.

Seriously, don't run the light and don't get a ticket. I don't understand people that make bad choices and expect good results. You deserve everything you got.
