Christopher Land LLC is trying to rezone R-1 (one house per acre) to R-8 (6.4 dwellings/acre) at 9537 Burke Lake Road.
Isn't there enough traffic on Burke Lake Road? It was zoned R-1 for a reason. Do we really need high density housing there?
Please oppose this.

I think some additional higher end homes in that area would help boost home values in the area where many homes are older and losing value.
The traffic concern isn't a concern at all since they are only adding maybe 50 units. That's nothing on a street that gets tens of thousands of cars on it every day.

Looks like the adjacent property has already been zoned for townhomes. If so then condition the rezoning on the developer accessing the property through the roads behind the property rather than from Burke Lake directly.

That Ann L Harper property may as well be labeled "next."

The Harper property is definitely next after these 12 townhomes are done. Looks like they could fit even more there when they tear down that house. The developer of the current property being developed conveniently designed an access road so another curb cut on BL Rd is not needed.
