Per yesterdays discussion on girlfirends who of guy friends. I never trust those guys who only hang out with girls and why do girls hang out with those guys, They always seem sleazy.

No doubt. I've always figured that if those types of guys weren't gay then they actually wanted to get some of the girls' pants, but never knew how to "work it". So they just hang around hoping, like in the movies, that one day the chick would wake up and suddenly "lose the zero and get with the hero".

Yup, if you're a dude and don't have any dude friends, then something ain't right with you and you're probably a turd to boot.

What do you dislike about them? Anything better that i am missing out on?

They try using that Junkies humor and even try talking like them. The humor is your typical corny mid-day DJ talk... I don't know, just un-appealing, un-original radio imo. They're basically Junkies spillover's anyways.

Name one other program like theirs. You can't so don't call them typical. Plus they kick people off their show for talking like the Junkies so your post is irrelevant.

My choices every day are Ryan Seacrest or Big O and Dukes. So far Big O and Dukes are undefeated in that match up.

Keep it up boys.

The Junkies have no humor. They aren't funny, silly or rick or whatever.

Oddly enough, this was the one time I turned on the radio in the past 6 months, and this was the only thing I listened to.

I have a lot of female friends that I have no interest in boinking, mostly because I understand that nothing screws up that sort of friendship quicker than sex. I'd rather keep hanging out with them, so it's a fairly simple choice.

The most interesting part of the show, to me, was when they were talking about letting your girl go to a party with a bunch of dudes you don't know. Personally, I would be uncomfortable with the idea and talk to my girlfriend about it. If she got all bitchy and accused me of trying to control her life, then I would be suspicious. If she explained why she wanted to go and said that I could trust her, I would trust her.

The one guy was totally right; if a girl is going to cheat on you, it's only a matter of time until she does. The situation doesn't matter. Drunken frat party, cable repair guy, some dude at the office... she's going to eventually. However, trying to know where she is, who she's with, and what she's doing all the time to make sure she ISN'T cheating on you is only going to drive you crazy, put a strain on the relationship, and give her another reason to cheat.

I was surprised that they all agreed that they rarely go more than 6 hours without talking to their S/O, and would become suspicious if they didn't talk for one night. I can go for a couple days at a time without talking to my S/O and not instantly leap to the conclusion that she must be out fucking someone else, that's why she didn't call.

It was a very interesting segment, all in all.

Big O and Dukes only sound like D&M or the Junkies to the extent that Metallica was influenced by black sabbath or iron maiden, and this sounds a little like them. Both of them grew up around here listening to WJFK and were inspired, admittedly, by Don and Mike. Its natural that they are influenced by those radio personality. I'm just glad they don't do the whole stripper or porn star in studio schtick, its the worst!

UNLIKE the junkies Big O Dukes don't just mail it in everyday and talk exclusively about themselves or something inside. They actually work hard at their craft

UNLIKE Mike O'Mera they talk about relevant topics and tip toe political issues brilliantly without tilting to much to one or the other.

Per Chads questions earlier today "Is it racist if i'm waiting on black guy and he orders an ice tea and automatically bring him 50 sugar packets?" Oscar and Drab thought it was. I don't think it is. because it were a native African who ordered the ice-t i don't think chad would have brought 50 packets of sugar. I suppose the proper term might be "bigoted".

From my experiences, Asians are the worst tippers. By in large tipping etiquette is determined more by socioeconomic background more then anything else. I've probably had just as many bad white trash, or arrogant self entitled prick white tippers as any other group of people.

I am not trying to stereotype (but I guess I am), but I have heard from people in the industry that African Americans and the English are the worst tippers.

We can smell the Asian hate dripping off you like sweat off fat man balls in summer.

Yes the English are poor tippers, mostly because tipping is not cutomary in the UK. The people in the service industry there are paid a living wage, as far as i know. I was just there a month ago, and at first it was weird not tipping and i almost felt ashamed. Then once i remember how much i was being killed on the exchange rate it quickly felt more natural,.

They just take advantage of the fact that in Europe everything is 'service compris'.

To anyone who else who caught the Emeril interview today, he's one class act. To bad all celebs aren't as class as Emeril. I've always been indifferent to the chef, but the fact he actually came back on the show and tool some phone calls from the idiot listeners earned my respect.

Nope, I'm just your typical listener trying to keep the show on the air because i am to cheap to pay for satellite radio and the extra premium on top of the standard subscription for "shock jock" talk.

WJKF is one of the few things this area has going for it, yes it could be better and has been better, but it's all we have. Its the only forum that vents about all the things that are wrong with the people in the area, such as driving, self entitlement, and overall unattractiveness of the inhabitants that are drawn here but think they are hot shit.

So, yeah I'm trying to do my part by spreading the word of the show, here on this forum. Probably poorly at that.

I'm a total cheap ass and used to think that way, but once you try it, you'll wonder how you lived without it. Seriously. Whenever I have get a loaner when my vehicle is being serviced, rush hour blows. Commercials, commericals, more commercials and then the same tired overplayed music. It's worth the $0.50 per day. .

I don't pay extra for "shock jock" talk. Just make sure you get the Sirius equipment and you get Stern for nothing, plus the NFL and ESPN radio. If you get that XM crap, you gotta pay extra for Stern.

This is truely a bad week for talk radio. The enitre line up is out holiday. There is nothing to listen to all day. Mike and Mike in the morning suck, "Greenie" has the worst radio voice and his only discernable talent is rambleing on about nothing.
