Funny, with over a half million views of the AM post the rest of the site languishes. Furthermore its interesting that the rest of the site gets no boost from all those visitors - people are not interested in the site or the ugly trolling that this site has transformed into a haven for.

I'm sure Cary is real mad at all the loss in ad revenue from all the people not interested in this site.

Guess the OP didn't read the part where Cary said this site doesn't generate revenue. He gets paid in laughs at the half million losers.

Where did the OP reference revenue? He didnt. You did. I think he was pointing out how barren the site vs. the potential. He does seem to suggest the rampant trolling and general level of discourse is responsible. I see the point. You get half a million viewers in a week from the AM stuff - probably a half years worth of visits otherwise.

The OP said "boost". I took it to mean generating revenue. I wouldn't think someone coming here to see their lives going up in smoke sticking around to talk about bowel movements. Besides, I see this site as more of a club. Either you get it or you don't stick around.

629,063 views since 8/20 and no significant increase in site activity other than AM - that says something. No boost meant that the site saw little increase in new posters ('boost') despite the astronomical new visitors to the site.

That says something about this place. It may be a club to you but to most people it is apparently a place to look up names and leave as soon as possible.

All to the good. Soccer moms talking about their demon seed makes my eyes bleed. Who gives a fuck about coaches and principals (unless they molest, now that's interesting)?

We may be few in number, but together our rancor shakes Fairfax to its roots. We are anarchy.

People came from all over to view that material. Most couldn't even spell Fairfax, let alone find it on a map. The morbid curiosity of it all. Hoping we are done with it, as the site has turned into a therapy session for some and one of unbridled cruelty for others.
