Hooters in Fairfax Changing Location?

Not the best location for eye candy but I wonder where they are moving.

That was the rumor once Outback closed down the street. The current strip mall they're in needs to be leveled.

There's construction going on at the former Outback up the street. I didn't see any permits in the window to tell me for sure who or what was going in that space. I would suspect the Hooters is moving there because A) the strip mall they are in now needs to be razed, and B) contrary to previous post in this thread, rezoning and repermitting with Fairfax County and Reston Association would be a much bigger hassle than moving with Fairfax City, IMHO.

Hooters is definitely moving to the old Outback location on Fairfax Blvd. I stopped by and talked to one of the workers remodeling the place.

The strip mall is so 1960's.

I expect that the entire site will be reworked and many smaller stores and food establishments will be included. With the City's BAR requirements they will dictate a more unified and updated look kind of like the new strip across from the old car dealer.

Next I would guess the car dealers will be relocating as well.

Time for the strip mall to integrate into the the Jim McKay used car lot and the Fuddruckers property.

Its called trying to increase the City tax base and new properties bring more taxes, newer businesses can also bring in more taxes, more money spent means more taxes.

Get the idea?
