Ashley Madison Damage Control
Posted by: Hackers of Ashley Madison ()

From the Ashley Madison database:

1) Employees of Fairfax County Public Schools

2) Employees of Fairfax County

3) Employees of the IRS (xxxxxx@irs.gov)

Also: Arlington County, a couple of big lobbying firms, major law firms, defense contractors, and some nonprofits.

The local impact is going to be HUGE. Jobs/clearances lost, and so on and so forth.

I listen to a lot of satallite xm and they run those commercials for years promising exclusivity and such, I smell some serious lawsuits coming and AM having to shut their doors due to legal fees.

So now it's against the law to get a piece of ass on the side?

1) Adultery is prohibited in the military.

2) Adultery/prostitution can make you subject to blackmail, good bye clearance.

These gov't agencies ought to search their servers, see who was doing what before it is another Snowden-like disclosure event.

Do men actually use this site to meet women? I always had the impression that the people running the site were really just concerned about getting stories written in the main stream media about Ashley Madison so they could create traffic and ad revenue. Whether viewers actually met women wasn't even the point. Sorta like cougarlife.com and the commercials with Julia Ann the MILF porn actress.

Bill Clinton raped and cheated. Never hurt him one bit. As long as you are a liberal, laws, morals, and ethics do not apply.

This doesn't tell me shit. How do I see the email addresses? I only see the domains and a number which I assume is a summary of how many email accounts from that domain.

Trollpost?

Adultery is actually illegal in some places. VA is one of those places.

Per Code Section 18.2 – 365, adultery is a Class 4 misdemeanor

Every shithead that used their work, gov, mil, etc address needs to be taken out back and be beaten until all of the stupid falls out of them. Some may be so thoroughly stupid that they will not survive the cleansing.

Maybe I'm a paranoid cynic... I am often surprised by how stupid people can be but I can't believe that this many people used government email addresses to register with this site. troll list?

I agree with a poster above... that list is useless without details.

every government employee ( and yes that includes military) who used the site got canned, with their benefits cancelled. Think how much money that would save? We could balance the budget!

Adultery is illegal.
Accessing a website is not.

Let's put away the pitchforks for now.

As an employer, my only issue here would be...Did you use your corporate credit card to pay for this? If you did, that's not a business expense and you're fired.

Beyond that...as long as you did this on your own time and whatever fallout drama doesn't become a problem in the workplace or negatively affect your widget output, I don't really care what you do on your own time.

fairfaxcounty.gov people on Ashley Madison = more reputation trouble for the County as it digs for money.

fcps.edu = The return of Laurence Einuis, to say nothing of accusation of misuse of funds.

.gov and .mil = lost jobs, foreclosures, crashing property values.

.com (homeland security contractors) = lost jobs, foreclosures, crashing property values.

Then after she cleans you out in divorce, your financial situation makes you a risk. Bye bye clearance.

A COR can find any of their contractors and have them removed. Easy to come up with security-related reasons. Lots of job openings soon in this area. Hahahahaha!

Saw my neighbor on the list. He has a Ph.D. from Princeton and is a senior, senior person up there on the Hill. I doubt he'll get fired, but will his wife divorce him? She's no lightweight either (medical degree). Two kids. Really smart kids.

Maybe she won't find out. I just can't believe someone like him could be so dumb about this. Wow.

I find it very interesting that everybody automatically assumes that all these people did cheat on their spouses, when the vast majority of the customers are men it is literally impossible for only a small fraction to have ever done anything...

Truth. But it's not a list of emails where they signed up for a free trial or whatever. Every name/address/email is a paid CC transaction made in an attempt to find some strange, married or not. The cheating might not have happened, but some gray line was crossed when actual money got spent on trying to do so.

Some people want to look, check out pictures, hot texting or sexting, others want somebody to talk to, any number of things. However it's basically mathematically impossible for the vast majority of users to get anywhere since 95% were men.

You might as well just post users who have a subscription to penthouse.com.

The site was a scam. It was all men.

Spending money on this site shows intent. It will cause many fights. Some of those fights will cause a spouse to dig deeper and find something.

OKCupid and PlentyofFish are much better for hooking up. A friend told me that. An unmarried friend. Not like me. I'm married. Yes, an unmarried friend.

If 25% of the men in Fairfax County were identified in yesterday’s release of data, that’s an awful lot of men in one place, experiencing the stark realization that they may have lost everything.

The number close to doubles WHEN WE ADD THE WIVES, who likely feel as if they’ve been shot in the stomach and are unable to save their children who are themselves being hit with painful blows.

I read that on AM only one side of the conversation has to pay. So a lot of women were using the site too, but their names are not showing up on the paid transactions lists. The vast majority of paid subscribers are men, but plenty of women sign up and communicate with them for free.

Hi all,

I'm looking to do a story on this NoVA data dump for the Post. Were any of you affected by this? Do you know anyone who was? (Fight, divorce, loss of clearance, etc.) Would any of you like to talk to me about your experience in a confidential manner?

I would really appreciate it.

Nobody wants to read any stories unless they culminate in a murder-suicide. Or if there are some really salacious details about sex. i.e. Mayor of DC and John Boehner's wife did something kinky with whipped cream and a chain saw.

You already know what you're going to write.

You're just looking for some quotes to support it.

Just make them up and cite as anonymous. End up in the same place. You'd change whatever anyone said to match what you want them to say how you want it said anyway.

There... I saved you a half day of work. You're welcome!

Isn't that how all lib propagandists/"journalists" operate? Has the Post figured out yet how to pin this all on conservatives or Bush? Or how it exonerates the rapist Bill Clinton?
