My understanding is Dan Snyder is charging folks $25 to park at FedEx Field for this thing. And by scrimmage, I assume you won't see a full exhibition game, like in the pre-season, but probably an hour or so of practice drills between the two teams. Am I right?

True, $25 to park and there will be NO shuttle from the Metro station. If Dan the Greedy can get 40K people and 15K cars at FedEx he will pocket nearly $400K! Great way to show the fans how much you appreciate them. Plus, you need to supply an e-mail address and present the invitation when you enter. Look for plenty of spam courtesy of the Redskins since there is no promise that your name won't be provided to anyone who is willing to pay a small fee.

Sure, there are still suckers out there who love them 'skins, but it was not a hard choice this year to say no thanks to the renewal offer for the seats that have been in my family for more than 45 years. Lower bowl, section 127, great location, but the noise and constant price increases finally drove me away. Plus, there are always a ton of good seats on eBay for when I want to see a game. Most weekends, however, I can sit in my media room with the 65" plasma TV, DirectTV Sunday Ticket, overstuffed leather seats, a keg of Old Dominion on tap and all the cigars I can suck down and not worry about traffic or weather.


I still love the 'skins and would give my left arm for a return to RFK or a stadium that had more ambiance than an 80,000 seat toilet bowl that was Metro-accessible in Virginia or the District.

Interesting. I have an associate who did the same thing last year. His family used to have season tickets but they sold them to someone else. He said he used to love RFK but can't stand the noise at FedEx Field. He says he would have a headache at the end of the game because the music, etc, was too damn loud. He also says you are innundated with commercials in the stadium between plays. Finally, he says the drunks are totally out of hand at FedEx and that you can't bring your kids anymore because of it. I have no problem having a couple of brewskies at a game, but this getting drunk and screaming profanity at the expense of other fans is just f-ing annoying as all hell. Especially if you have spent several hundred dollars to attend the game.
