Don't waste your time calling Cox, not only Fairfax internet is down, the whole country is with their network

Still have Internet connectivity in Springfield (not subscribed to any other services)

Possibly a DNS-related issue? I'm an OpenDNS user which would bypass that type of outage if that's the case.

Make sure you call and notify them so that you get a full refund for the extent of the outage.
