I'm the president of a local club and we need inexpensive meeting space for our meetings. We've been meeting at a school, but they charge us $150 for weekday nights and $300 for Saturdays for the cafeteria.

We need inexpensive space to rent for a regular monthly meeting of 100 people. Does anyone know of any place in the Fairfax County area where we could meet for less? We need decent parking and to be central to Route 66, preferably in the Vienna or Fairfax area for our members traveling from D.C. and Maryland. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks.

The Library has meeting rooms for free. FREE. You should have a library card, sign up online for one, for FREE. There are 22 branches, each with a meeting room that can sit between 50 and a hundred people. Try the regional branches first since their meeting rooms are much larger than the Community librarys'.

City of Fairfax isa regional, but for access to 66, there is Dolley Madison (McLean), Patrick Henry (in Vienna) and Oakton (in Oakton).

Senior Centers in Fairfax County charge next to nothing to rent out for meetings. Try calling them up, Libraries (like Johnny said) work too. It's all under the County Gov't.

Depends on what the club is for. I know the library does not allow 100+ attractive 18 year old girls to gang bang one another, so if that is what you were planning I have plenty of space available.

Many churches rent out rooms at night and the Vienna library does too.

Walmart parking lot, ring the area with shopping carts

The library rooms are great, but you can't use them if there is a fee for the meeting (paid speaker, training session, etc.) or if you are selling anything.

You could also check fire and/or police stations. Sully has a meeting room, so does Balls Hill. Cherrydale fire station in Arlington has a big room with a small stage. Vienna fire has one too, but I think there is a fee.
