Where are people around here getting the non-sparklers (i.e. Rockets)? They can't all be making the drive to Pennsylvania...are there places selling them under the counter?

Maybe they stocked up at the South of the Border on their Myrtle Beach trip.

In the 80's I used to order them mail order from South Dakota and have them delivered via UPS. Lol...

What the hell's a Warfordsburg and why travel 4 hours to get fireworks? Isn't the Pennsylvania line just an hour away?

Warfordsburg, PA is the closest place to buy projectile fireworks to the DC area. It's just over the MD-PA line off of I-70.

If there's a closer place to the DC area to buy projectile fireworks, please...let me know.

I usually load up in Warfordsburg with enough big stuff for a couple New Years Eve and 4th of July celebrations. That's why they give you shopping carts.

With all the 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 specials, plus all the free stuff, I rarely spend more than $500.

The people I've heard about make a day trip out of state to some place. I went to a lake and the party people would give like $20 to a fireworks fund can.

Three guys would go before the party to some out of state place and bring back a car load of shit for the party.

But be careful. A lot of the close places are known. Sometimes they look for out of state tags in the parking lots at the places and then follow them back into VA to bust them. That's why people make a day trip out of it and then head off around the other state for a while.
