The baby's wings are not developed enough to fly, bozo.
They are indigenous to what used to be the wetlands here. The call them Canadian Geese bcause, simply, they usual migrate to Canada from here in the summertime. But the greedy developers and rich ones have screwed all that up. Now they stay here just about all year long.
Used to be tens of thousands of them that lived here. Kind of like the sad story of the North American Bison, the Buffalo. Now they are a protected species. When the Indians ruled here it was O.K. to eat a few here and there. You did not have to worry about having one for dinner once in a while because their were so many of them. Very tasty bird. Too bad the rich developers have managed to rip us off again in the many ways they do. Now we have to settle for having to get a slave job at slave labor level wages and, if you want to taste anything near what s tasty goose used to taste like, spend an entire days wages on a turkey.
Oh. And it is a federal offense to even injure a goose today, here. So you better learn how to drive.

The Plains Indians actually hunted Bison to near extinction levels without the help of European settlers.

Yep, and the government chose to allow Eskimos to hunt Polar Bears with no limits and what happened....Polar Bears are on the brink of extinction. Yet the government is now blaming it on global warming! Fucking idiots.
