Only the left lane of the Inner Loop between the Springfield Interchange and the Robinson Terminal gets by an accident.

Another accident at the entrance to the Express Lanes this morning. Seems to be increasing frequency. Everything is wrong with the design here. The missing ramps from I95 North to the Express Lanes. The physical barriers that separate the lanes. The six-lane merge. The painted lines. And most of all and easiest to fix, the signs.

When is VDOT going to fix this thing right?

There have been lots of accidents in this area for DECADES - So this is nothing new.

Sharp increase in accidents, especially deaths and serious injuries, when the Express Lanes opened.

VDOT's plan of separating the wheat from the chaff among drivers is coming along nicely. If you can't figure out how to read signs and drive appropriately in marked lanes, you shouldn't be on the road.

Oh that is a new option - Express accident, injury, and death(s) for those idiots in too big of a hurry to wait for the natural selection process to play out. This option requires a "Smart Tag"
