Tim Brant leaving WJLA 7 - Last Good TV Sports Caster in DC Market

Tim Brant is leaving WJLA Channel 7. His last sportscast will be Friday May 29. He is the last decent sportscaster in the DC market. So now we a going to be left with a bunch of female sportscasters who really know very little about sports or DC sports teams.

Well, you see nobody under the age of 50 watches TV any more. All the local TV stations are dying a slow and painful death.

Tim Brant is horrible. Typical stiff jock with a very dim bulb.

His delivery is very stiff. He seems to have a very limited vocabulary. He's always trying to use his signature line "Are you kidding me?".

He used to have a great bit back in the day called "Challenge Tim" is which viewers would beat him doing a sport of their choice. usually it was a firefighter racing up a lader with a dummy pack on his back or something.

Only The Greaseman had great bits. Tim Brant sucks now and sucked back then.

You can thank the digital TV initiative for that. Before you'd just set up a TV in whatever room you happened to be in. Once we went digital you either had to have the room set up for cable or went to some alternative.
