Fruit Flies in Fairfax

How do these bastards get into my house? If I open red wine there they are and they are following me now too. I didn't leave the windows open

Gnats seem to be the bigger issue around here. I just had my yard sprayed for mosquitoes and an hour later while watering the flowers the gnats were in my eyes and nose. Sons a bitches are terrible.

We have this problem too. Once they come in, it's very difficult to get rid of them. They seem to inhabit sink/tub drains, so hit them with some drano or boiling water. Vinegar traps with soap attract and kill them also.

Don't leave banana peels or any other fruit in your trash cans. They like to breed in empty wine bottles and beer bottles too.
