Anybody have any details on the closing?
Over the years I have gone there for parts or to shop for power equipment. Most of the time the customer service and courtesy I received was mediocre. On one occasion they did talk me out of buying a new mower and instead suggested fixing up the worn out one I had. I appreciated that advice and my 1993 Toro is still in service today.

It's a shame when these places go. When they're all gone, where will you buy quality outdoor power equipment? Not that Big Box junk like "John Deere" tractors made by Murray or some other third rate outfit, but the good stuff that lasts. That's why I always buy Stihl equipment when I can. Stihl refuses to make cheapened Big Box versions of their stuff.
But I guess it's the lowest common denominator as usual. Morons today won't pay for quality because don't know it when they see it anyway.

That is certainly part of it. However quite often it is simply that the guy who is selling the good stuff gets lost in the clutter of everyone selling crap. Also have you noticed how many companies that used to be known for selling top quality merchandise are now selling essentially the same cheap crap?
