The Yankees have also been in the league for 114 years now and didn't even win a World Series til 1923. In case you're not smart enough to not do the math on that one, that's 22 years it took them to win a World Series. The Nationals have only been in the league for a total of 10 years now...

I suppose it is better in the sports world to have been great once rather than never having amounted to anything. However for most sports fans the important thing is HOW YOUR TEAM IS DOING NOW.

The Nationals have been around since 1969 when they were the Expos and still no championships.


Dumbass, the franchise was in a different city and country from 1969 through the 2004 season with several different ownership groups. It has played in DC since 2005, and under the current ownership group since July 2006. When MLB owned the team in Montreal it drafted players based solely on how cheaply they could be signed. No effort was made to retain any free agents. By the time it was relocated to Washington it had the worst farm system of the 30 MLB teams and only a few decent players.

The team today has nothing in common with the team prior to July 2006 when it was sold to the current ownership group. What happened prior to that when the team was owned by four different groups (including MLB, who acquired the team in December 2001 with the intent to contract it along with the Minnesota Twins) is completely seperate from the current ownership group.

By the way, another NL expansion team that came into being in 1969 has never won a world series either. It has played in the same city since 1969 and has never been owned by MLB. No pitcher for that team has ever thrown a no-hitter either.

2005 counts, plenty of teams have had bad owners, so the Nats history dates back to 2005. Expos history does not apply.

Nats have beaten the Yanks in three of four times they've played each other. They'll get another chance next month to collect a couple easy wins.

Have you even been to the Bronx for a game? Do you have any ties to the Skankees, other than being a front-running asshole? Also, don't be too bragadacious about your Skankees titles- since they have an unlimited budget, and have outspent every other team in baseball, of course they'll win titles. At least baseball's finally evened the playing field some with the luxury tax.

Where are all the Spankees today???? Mets have the Cards again today then travel to PNC Park and will lose 2 of 3 to Shitsburg....by end of the week the Nats will have a 3+ game lead in the division and won't look back from there!!!!!

Real Nats fans also realize that our MVP from last year hasn't played a game this year, Jason Wherthless would rather drive in the Daytona 500 and our "GREAT' pitching staff has been less than average.

114 Years??? I am 50. Seven baseball titles in my lifetime. DC's titles in that time? Four. Three by The Racist named football team when they had a GREAT owner and NO Salary Cap. They spent like the Yankees back then.

Nat's stadium sucks. Go visit Camden Yard, Wrigley, Fenway, Minnesota, San Diego, or Colorado's Parks. Not just steel and bricks. Why not Be right on the river like San Fran? Or, be taller, and open so you could see the monuments and The Capital? The service to get anything but beer sux. Trying to drive or Metro back and forth SUX!!!

Now, the worst owner in Sports, Dani produces the worse game day experience. They are removing seats!!! It SUCKS to go to a Skins game.

Up North, Baltimore has one of the BEST game days and football operations.

While BMore has a great park, their owner may be second, only to Dani in sucking. It was sold out when he bought it. They have really sucked since. I call it the curse of firing Jon Miller.

The Yankees (AKA the old Baltimore Orioles) were established in 1903 and in that time they have won only 27 World Series.

The Nationals, established in 2005 have already been to playoffs four times.

Plus they have better fans then fair weather Yankee fans.
