I grew up in Fox Mill Estates since 1972. I am now raising my children in Fairfax right of Stringfellow Road, for years my son has been friends with my neighbors son, who is a year older.

I have maintained a friendly relationship with my neighbor until recently. See my neighbor played football in high school and his son was always kinda chubby and didnt seem football oriented, well my neighbor forced him to become a football player and work out 24/7. My son is 16 and 6' at 175lbs while my neighbors son is 6'5" at 220lbs. So my son and him have drifted apart due to my son preferring Lacrosse and wrestling over football. My neighbors son has recently been real aggressive towards my son and other neighborhood kids. He recently got in a fight with my son and well my son won the fight, even tho my son won, he got scuffed up on his arm. So I talked to my neighbor about it and he said "Youre just mad that your son isnt big for his age like mine, and that he doesnt have a lineman build" he also continued to call my son a "pussy" even though..well..my son is pretty muscular and won the fight. My neighbors is just bulky. He then said absurd things such as "I bet your son doesnt even have hair on his stomach like a real man does."

I was appalled at my neighbors actions and childish ways. Any advice?? Similar situations??

Fairfax HS is the 10th best in the state and 7th best in the county. FCPS has 25 high schools. I bet your child goes to South County and your mad that you overpaid for your house in Crosspointe.

I grew up in small town Texas, and let's just say Football was the only way of life. It seemed like everyday dads would be comparing the size of their son to another boy. Also, "manhood" was literally defined as how bulky your son was and how much hair he had on his chest.

I played Baseball, not Football. Baseball was the 2nd most accepted sport, I was disgusted with football culture in my town.

There are quite a few 200+ kids in high school.
