Why so many women Sports reporters in the Va/MD/DC area? Most have very little knowledge of sports history. What they learned is basically from recent college journalism courses. Get some sports reporters who actually know the history and aren't clueless on the major sports. You real sports fans know what I am talking about. Let the "skirts" do the weather or traffic.

Glen Brenner was the precursor for the trend. The networks realized the hardcore sports fans aren't watching the local news for sports. Their needs are met by the sports channels and the in-depth after-game shows. The local news just shows the highlights interspersed with the jokes. The women serve to keep the female viewers and the old men tuned in.

The NFL is going downhill fast, and having women reporters is a large part of it.

Women have to try and ruin everything that men like. I want to watch a Redskins/Cowboys game, and all I hear are women talking about "NFL and Domestic Violence". I want to watch a Redskins/Giants game, and the players are wearing pink shoes. Pink shoes!

I think I'll stick to MLB. There are still real men there, and I don't remember seeing a baseball game with pink shoes.
