What's the fine difference on tickets?

I got caught in something the cop called a Pedestrian Awareness campaign and got a ticket for failure to obey a taffic sign. (Rolling stop/CAl-stop)
Is there a difference in the fine if I go to court versus paying ahead of time? Anyone know how much the ticket would be?

Actually, no, the info for the fine etc is not on the ticket. But I found the site that gives the prices.

It;s not so much the fine, it's the processing fee. -
Drinking While Driving
Statute: 18.2-323.1
Fine: $35
Processing Fee: $72 if offense date is prior to July 01, 2007
Processing Fee: $372 if offense date is on or after July 01, 2007
Total: $107 if offense date prior to 7/1/07 or $407 if offense date is on or after 7/1/07

Why not try STOPPING at stopsigns - then no ticket! It pisses me off when people are too lazy to stop - sloppy driving!

And I'm sure you NEVER fail to stop completely and totally at every stop or right turn red light. And I bet you drive EXACTLY the speed limit too.
OP didn't say anything about not paying the fine, he wanted to know if there's a difference if you pay it by mail or go to court.
You probably drive while talking on a cell too and think you drive perfectly well as you do it. You don't. No one does.

Sheesh, 132 bucks just to cuss somebody out.
Might be more cost-effective just to go upside the motherfucker's head.

If you appear in court rather than pre-paying, the fine will be determined by the Judge. If you have a good driving record (i.e. +5) the Judge may consider assessing a lower fine or suspending your fine in its entirety. The maximum is $250 plus court costs.
