Fairfax... the next Ferguson?

I don’t know how many of you are tracking the violence taking place across this country arising from police killing or injuring citizens. Much of the current wave started in Ferguson and the damage from the riots that followed have been described in the National Review as perhaps unrecoverable.

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/393738/steep-cost-ferguson-riots-thomas-sowell

Since then the fact pattern has repeated itself in New York and most recently — as in taking place pretty much right now — just across the river in Baltimore.

As much as I hate to hear about things like this, either the needless death or the rioting to follow, I have to admit that amid all the other worries of life I take a little bit of comfort in the fact that it is happening somewhere else. Only now it isn’t.

Sometime in Feb of this year a black woman named McKenna got picked up by the Fairfax County VA Sheriff Department. It turns out she was some sort of mental patient with a long history of illness. You can find the details online but the crux is that at some point the Sheriff Deputies decided to strap her into some sort of “restraining chair” and when she was all cuffed and masked (sounds like Hannibal Lecter) they tasered her like four or five times which, to nobody’s surprise, killed her.

The Sheriff Kincaid has done nothing but stonewall the incident, so bluntly that the Washington Post is calling for the Justice Department to step in.

So in Ferguson you have a guy who is the size of an NFL linesman who gets shot in pretty much a straight-up, one-on-one streetfight. That throws a city into flames. In Fairfax we have a woman not much bigger than a poodle (I read she weighed like 100lbs) who was surrounded by half a dozen big guys in full body armor (called SERT?) and shackled to a metal chair. She doesn’t catch one freak bullet in the blink of an eye but instead gets tazed four or five times and each time you get tazed it is like five or ten second long so there had to be maybe a full minute or more of screaming and thrashing during which nobody in uniform stopped to say “hey maybe this is out of hand.”

If the first scenario threw a city into riots, this has the awful potential to explode like Pompeii meets Hiroshima in the heart of Fairfax. If the Sheriff is stonewalling so hard there must be some even worse stuff that hasn’t come out yet (gotta be video somewhere, right?). So how do citizens distance themselves from crap like this? Riots down’t burn down police stations they burn businesses and homes and stores and stuff. How do we force some sort of public release of info that (hopefully) drops the boiler pressure before this blows up in all our faces?

I don’t think the people of Ferguson ever thought they would be where they ended up, nor did New York or Baltimore. But at this point I’m thinking the writing is on the wall and we’d better get ahead of this or history will very likely follow a very clear pattern.

Calm down, Sparky. The previous incidents have all involved young black men - the demographic most often targeted (rightly or wrongly) by police. This incident involved a mentally ill middle-aged woman. The fact that she was black is incidental. I don't see the fine people of Fairfax rising up in protest over this admittedly shameful incident. Young black men won't identify with her, and the other demographics in Fairfax don't generally express their anger in the form of riots and looting.

Clearly there is a delayed reaction here. Here it is almost May and this happened in Feb lmao. All 17 black people in Fairfax are just planning something so big that's why it has taken so many months for anything to happen.

Hahaha what's it like to live in your world? In fear of something that's never going to happen? Must be fun!

While we have unruly and lying police in Fairfax, are residents aren't going to riot.

However, Democrat-run Baltimore is different. Burning and looting going on right now (Monday, April 27, 2015, 4:06 p.m.).

The Democrat mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake admitted in a press conference on Sunday that she asked the Baltimore Police Department to “give those who wished to destroy space to do that.”

That reminds me of Maxine Waters in the 1990s, saying the Blacks had "to vent." (Venting to Maxine Waters is the death of 60 mostly innocent people.

Man, this just proves that Blacks really are a violent people.

Nah don't think so.

Fairfax County - Sizable police force.
Fairfax County - Majority white and Hispanic and lot everything else not black but they got a fair numbers of blacks.
Fairfax County - Ruled by the white man
Fairfax County - Lot of Queers and Sorry liberals
Fairfax County - Courts - Don't Play
Fairfax County - White 911, White FD, and Medical doctors (lot of Injuns)
Fairfax County - OPEN Carry and CCP, and gunshows to keep folks ammo'ed
Fairfax County - Probably a lot legal gun owners that might shoot
Fairfax County - Have mostly good and controlled negros, a real stupid one here and there
Fairfax County - SPICs, Gerry People (PAKIs,INJUNs), Asians and Sand Niggers won't support the blacks if they riot. They arm up to protect their business against blacks. They don't care about black customers anyway. They will see it as good opportunity to get rid of blacks.

If you attack a police officer or vandalize a police car you should be treated as a terrorist. Those items represent the STATE. You attack the government then you are an enemy combatant. Where is the National Guard when you need them to gun these terrorists down????

This was not tolerated in the 1950's.

The most confusing day of the year is "Father's Day" in downtown Baltimore.

Stupid Ballimore Mayor, Stupid MD Governor, Stupid tugs on a shopping spree.

This was all coordinated on social media and the police and other authorities knew about this before noon today. They should have mobilized the National Guard this morning and had them on standby.

The difference with the National Guard would shot, the Police will not because they are afraid of more bad press.

What a mess, DC will be next, they may even get started this evening or tomorrow.

setting aside the moronic "it cannot happen here" responses above (simply put, social disorder can happen anywhere) - the kind of story presented in the OP would make fodder for a lot of trouble if it catches media attention more than it already has. The original question remains - what can citizens do to (absent anything constructive coming out of the Sheriff office) to disavow / disown the McKenna fiasco. If there is violence etc like Baltimore, the cops might lost a couple cars but the rest of the stuff will be us and our homes and businesses.
