Do your family members living in other states realize how expensive the cost of living is in Fairfax County?

A cousin of mine in Alabama proudly proclaimed with his head up high and his chest out that his years of hard work had earned him his beautiful gated community home in Alabama that cost him a fortune of 140k.

He was so proud.

I almost spit out my drink and started laughing out loud.
He has no clue what so ever.
LOL.

Because he is living within his means to afford what is probably a very nice home in a nice community and he didn't have to break the bank to do it.

There are some very nice areas in Alabama.

I know, this area is so impressed with itself. The whole area east of 66 and north of 28 looks like a zombie land of subpar houses that look like shit and cost so much that it really begs the question....who is the smarter party here? The new moms and the smug middle aged housewives love to walk around in their stupid hats and passively hint and humblebrag to eachother how wealthy they think they are because no one told them that net worth = assets-liabilities and that Acura MDX that apparently everyone has to have here doesn't correlate to wealth.

+1
If you like cookie-cutter housing in bland developments, then NOVA is for you!

Just wondering: given that 66 runs E-W (even-numbered Interstate, ya know) and 28 runs N-S, this would seem to be a null set.

Seriously: what did you mean?
