Auto Keys in Fairfax

Need a replacement key for my 04 Volvo - any suggestions for places that will duplicate a laser cut valet key in ffx so I can avoid the Stealership?

unless you own the car outright - you can ONLY have a dealer do anything to do with the keys

I had to get 2 new keys for my 2006 Honda. The dealer wanted $125.00 for each key, plus cutting, plus programming. The keys were $33 bucks a piece at the above website, I had Baldino's cut them for 60% less than the dealer. I still had to go to the dealer for programming, though.

Thanks. I lost the last transponder so Im down to the valet key. Think Ill get a couple cut of that and ponder getting a new transponder then getting it programmed. I have title to the car and no debt on it. I think I might need the title or registration but the idiot with the large text and bold is wrong (of course). I apologize for reading that post I usually dont look at all caps or large/bold type posts...

anyway thanks for the advise.

Wow what a racket! valet key for Volvo V70 2004 = $67 for the blank and $140 for an hour of labor to program it. $207 for a valet key. For the remote control you pay $102 for the remote + $73 for the key + $140 to program the key = $305 plus tax for a flippin key.

Rip off. You can get the blank for the valet for $24 delivered ($43 less than dealer) but you still have to get it cut and programmed ($140 @ dealer). Best you can hope for is $170 for a valet key.

Buy a Dodge Neon - The replacement keys are $2.49 and you can have the keys cut at Lowe's.

The Dodge Neon is a piece of shit. The Volvo is a quality automobile.

This company is very reliable and high-quality in its approach to its business, and I personally asked them for help. They have replaced my key fast and cheap.

You can buy an auto-specific programmer for around $35, buy an electronic key, both from Amazon, have it cut at any hardware store and program it yourself. If you have a working key. Save a bunch.
