RG3: "You gotta talk small, play big"

Someone needs to tell RGKnee --- This is what you've been saying since DAY ONE! Here's a hint: it's NOT WORKING.

Who is he trying to convince? Himself? Danny? Maybe he just wants to stay on the payroll for as long as possible before he gets shit canned.

I can guarantee you his sorry ass will be given top spot come September, regretfully so. Ole' Danny-boy loves his failure.

Robert Griffin III is done talking about being a great quarterback.

He is now simply interested in being a great quarterback.

"It's not about talking about it; it's about being about it," Griffin said earlier this week in an interview with "Redskins Nation" (via The Washington Post). "That's what my goal is this whole offseason. You gotta talk small, play big, take care of the little things so the big things fall into place."

The new, centered Griffin also didn't seem to mind the mounting rumors that his team could select a quarterback. As NFL Media's Albert Breer noted, Marcus Mariota was scheduled for a private workout in Virginia before some timing issues arose.

"The way I look at it is as long as I'm here with the Washington Redskins and they say I'm the guy, then I'm the guy," Griffin said in a separate interview with Fox News Sunday set to air this weekend. "I'm ready to go."

Redskins coach Jay Gruden essentially promised him the job this offseason, but with a new general manager in the fold, the drafting of a new quarterback would almost certainly eliminate Griffin from the equation.

The team has a creeping deadline looming on his fifth-year option, which could also help answer some long-term questions about his future in Washington.

But for now, Griffin just seems content working his way up from the bottom.

Should have put him on special teams and wide receiver now hes too damaged for those and he doesnt know how to play qb. Waste of an exceptional athlete. Football is an absurdly violent game.

I've never liked running quarterbacks. They never work out long term in the NFL. The only ones who were long term knew or learned how to throw in the pocket quick and this guy ain't able to do so.

RG III is another example of the poor management that has this team rolling in the mud.

Anyone remember the Fat Albert Show?

I have been a Redskins fan since 1968, and this crap has got to stop.

The NERVE of this egotistical, dumb-shit, hypocritical prick is unbelievable.

How about you turn DOWN a chance for an interview, Mr. "Talk small, play big".

He's been talking since day 1 and it's the same old shit.

RGIII has his issues. But when I look at clusterfucks like Johnny Manziel, Geno Smith and soon-to-be drafted Jameis Winston, I think RGIII has all the elements of a successful player. The problem is the so-called "adults" in his life haven't put him in his place and given him the guidance he needs to be successful. He is a 20-something phenom who has been allowed to "call the shots." I think he has had bad guidance. He needs a strong coach to kick him in the ass and tell him what he needs to do, not what he wants to do. It worked for guys like Cris Carter and half the New England Patriots. The potential is there. The question is, who has the balls to do the right thing?

The problem is the midget Jew treekiller lets him do whatever he wants, the current coach has no balls or experience and the previous coach broke him by letting him play injured. I wouldn't hire him for fast food work. But I like many people could consult the fuck out of that team. Give me 250,000 dollars and I'll give you a season. None of this long-term nonsense. But without any of that 18 hours a day sleeping at the office bullshit. Come and go as I please, that's the deal.
