Three Fairfax County police officers were injured during a dramatic police chase that added to the chaos Tuesday morning in the suburb just outside of Washington, D.C .

Police say the chase began as a traffic stop near Little River Turnpike. The female driver refused to stop her silver pickup truck, leading police onto the Beltway and then Interstate 95. The woman made several u-turns before she crashed near the Fairfax County Parkway. Police were able to box her in and take her into custody.

Nice professional takedown by the FCPD. But I guess I shouldn't be complimenting them for doing their job the way they should've been doing in the first place.

lol so why did they go on a high speed chase over those charges she has? Did they think she was somehow related to the hospital situstion and thankfully once they pulled her over they found out she had charges and had a sigh of relief because if she hadn't, the police would be looking worse than they already do.

But was it really needed for them to endanger the public and get themselves injured over those charges?

A good way to fight crime is to allow anyone who flees to get away without chase or any effort to catch the person running.

And endanger the lives of other motorist and then get yourself hurt over some stolen credit cards, no need to worry about the armed escaped suicidal inmate on the run!

Getting a tag number is definitely not a guarantee that you'll get the person driving. They already obviously knew who she was and where she lived..

And all other police work doesn't stop just because there's bigger crime going on somewhere else.

If you watched the news coverage, from the beginning they said it was unrelated to hospital incident.

If you watch the video you'll see police are not at a very high rate of speed. The cruiser even maintains a safe distance behind the suspect until the road was clear of traffic.

It's a little difficult to doctor a video with in minutes of the incident. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I don't think the video was "doctored."

The station I was watching clearly said the hospital shooting and the chase were not related.
