the Good Faith principal has been the law since the first 50 years of Roman law

the Good Faith principle is that neither party in a sale or work contract can misrepresent , steal , overbill , etc
you cannot lie in business at all it's been illegal for 3000 years

It's larger than just a 1000 dollar fine. The Auto Manufactures goes ape shit when the company that represents their product does things like this. Not to mention it was probably their online sales staff that was doing this and you can almost bet a few people lost their job.
