Who bikes to work?

I have been biking almost daily from Falls Church to Bethesda via the W&OD and Crescent Trail for the past 5 years. I normally don't see many on the W&OD trail and do the reverse commute on the Crescent. Today I counted over 170 bikers coming from Bethesda into DC. Are Marylander's more health conscious than Virginians?

Maybe they are all just not on your stretch of the trail.

Maybe they don't commute because of Uber idiots?

http://wtop.com/arlington/2015/03/bicyclist-doored-by-uber-passenger-in-rosslyn/

A cyclist was hurt this morning in Rosslyn when the backseat passenger of an Uber car opened a door in his path.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on N. Lynn Street, just south of Wilson Blvd. Initial reports indicate that the white BMW was stopped next to the bike lane when the Uber rider opened the rear passenger-side door just as the cyclist was about to roll by on a Capital Bikeshare bike. The cyclist slammed into the door.

Police and paramedics were called and the cyclist was treated on scene. He refused treatment to a local hospital.

The BMW’s door was damaged and would not fully close. No damage was visible to the Bikeshare bike. The cyclist was visibly shaken but did not have any outward sign of injury. No other injuries were reported.

The cyclist declined to comment to ARLnow.com, except to confirm that the car was moved closer to the curb after the accident.

Police took statements from the driver, the passenger and the cyclist. No word yet on whether any charges will be filed.

The incident happened as Arlington County Police officers were conducting a pedestrian safety detail just a couple of blocks down Lynn Street.

All of the VA cyclists on the W&OD are going in the same direction as you. Unless you are really slow or really fast, you won't encounter that many. The ones on the crescent are going in the opposite direction as you.

For a true indicator, leave DC heading towards Falls Church during morning rush hour and count how many you see then.

Also, there are more option than the W&OD to bike to work from NoVA. Custis Trail (which I assume you take), on street bike lanes, etc.

Who you won't see on a bike - any of the big-name Global Warming Alarmists like Al Gore, Michael Moore, Moochelle, or any other fatass leftwing hypocrites.

there is nothing funny about employing illegals.

in the 90's it was broadcast on radio AND legally that persons doing it would go to prison.

that's: sharon-bull-o-va gov and political families - surrounding themselves with votes and human shields, while they put billions on the credit card of the tax payer

meanwhile VA state law says: NO BORROW BY ANY COUNTY IN THE STATE OF VA IS LEGAL UNLESS THE COUNTY HAS FULL INTENT AND FULL ABILITY TO PAY THE DEBT BY LOCAL TAXATION

----------------------------
the number of ways i can county those mother fuckers in jail is endless

they live in a big house and are treasonous democrats. that's enough to go to the big house.

you can say "oh they changed that law"

when? after a fact of hiring a mexican army and imrpisoning the governor?

but it doesn't matter because 2 things:

1) people (non-gov workers) did legally complain like hell - the county et al skipped court. the clock does not stop for court dodgers

2) during a life of crime, the clock never stops

the "clock" of law only forgets limited actions. and infact that's the title. what do you know !
